I have experienced this recently and it did not change my view of the person however I personally would rather have continued being deceived as the person I met, even if false is the one I knew and built a history with.
However
The person was being tortured by deceiving me and I would never want a person I like to suffer, in the end they came out with it all and most of their friends accepted them, including me as its not abormal online.
 
I recommend telling them, you will probably be surprised at how accepting your true friends are.

I'm not sure why 100mg's topic got combined with this topic, but as usual the peanut gallery as gone off the reservation with the main point behind 100mg's post being about people just being honest about who and what they are. Yes, everyone gets to "play" as they choose, it's their money, regardless off how much lithium they may need doing so, but it's everyone's responsibility to be honest with each other not just the people who wish to only play with the particular gender of the person behind the monitor and keyboard and not based solely on the avatar's gender. Anyone who believes that real relationships cannot and do not get developed in a world like this are misguided and in denial. Although the majority of people seem to be happy and content skipping and hopping from player to player like some third world country soap opera, there is a nice small percentage of people who have chosen to begin real relationships with someone, exclusively, which is their choice and should also be respected as well. If someone chooses to "play" with a female avatar operated by a male that's their choice, but that same "male" operating that female avatar does have a responsibility to be honest with whoever begins a scene with them. Being told this is a fantasy game or whatever is fine, that doesn't give anyone the right to take away others choices by lying about who and what they are behind the monitor if asked. I do give credit to those who are courageous enough to put in their profile their irl gender because at that point it's solely up to the other person to decide whether they want to continue to spend time with that person. If not, there should be no hard feelings between either party since there are plenty of "males" who don't mind having sex with other "males" behind a female avatar. Again, this isn't about whose choice is right or wrong this subject is solely about a person taking away another persons choice by being dishonest about who and what they are behind the monitor. 

This is one of the most asinine comments I've read in these forums.
 
So nobody should play this game expecting to actually connect with the demographic they like to have sex with? They should join a game EXCLUSIVELY BASED ON SEX - and pay a MONTHLY SUB FOR IT - with the understanding that all female avatars are actually played by men, and if they want to have fun they'd better "put on their big boy pants" and just have virtual sex with a dude, when that would make them extremely uncomfortable?
 
In what universe does that make any fucking sense?
 
Also, isn't it more of a sign of maturity for a person to admit that they're playing a gender different than their real one? Isn't it mature to be honest with other players and just give them a heads up, out of respect to them? You don't think people appreciate that? You think they should just suck it up and expect that they're being deceived at every turn?
 
When 100mg wrote the original post, you don't see that as him taking responsibility for himself? For owning up to the fact that he hid behind a female avatar, saw that it was manipulative, and decided to be open about what was really going on? How is that not mature? You think it's more mature to play as a female character and lie to everybody you meet? If you don't think it takes a "big boy" to be candid about their true identity, then you are either very young and immature, or not a very bright bulb.

In all honesty,  do you really "want" this implemented.   Hear me out ......
 
3DX is a "Platform"  because lets be honest it really ISN'T  a "Game".  It is a social networking platform with a high emphasis on "FANTASY" sex.   The problem that occurs with us all is defining our perception of what "FANTASY"  is.   For many it is simply logging in as themselves to have an interaction with someone they don't know.  To others that fantasy is much more extreme,  role-playing "completely" another gender. 
 
The point is ... it's still fantasy and that is what the "PLATFORM" is designed for,  or as pointed out,  there would be safeguards to protect and prevent that type of action.  We can have our opinions, morals and ethical compasses what we SHOULDN'T do is make judgments of how others CHOOSE to play their fantasy.   I know some of you argue that THEIR fantasy impacts YOUR fantasy  and that's 100% true.   That is why I have said in the past,  if you can't accept this environment for what it IS  then you probably shouldn't play here.   People seem to take that as a "Well then get the fuck out of the game"   that is not at all how I intend it.   I am simply saying if you KNOW you will be so extremely bothered by some forms of peoples expressed fantasies,  have some self preservation and don't put yourself in the situation to be hurt.   There are, after-all many many other means of expressing fantasies that save you the trouble. 
 
In short..      you HAVE to be able to accept 3DX for what it is.   Yeah your probably going to get duped at some point,  yes it has happen to me,  it will likely happen again.  Yes sometimes its disappointing,  but I knew it was a possibility and I accept the environment for what it is, move past that and on to better people.  In some cases,  I have found very good friends whom I know are misrepresenting themselves and I'm ok with that,  because I know it is THEIR fantasy.  There are LOTS of good people here,  its just a matter of finding the ones that share your perceptions of what the fantasy is.  
 
Few have the ability to put themselves in to the shoes of another person and consider their position. Be brave,  try it,  you don't have to agree with it,  but it may open your eyes to another perspective.

November 19 at 11 am Eastern is the time for the second Event, sadly with time some amazing DJs had to cancelled or have disappear. Even worse due to idiots trolling the promoter i asked to help me with the Event 2 has disappeared. The Rules of the EVENTS are the DJs get one hour to play what they want and how they want to.
