Patching in progress..

I've tried numerous reinstalls. Run from Launcher and the .exe but all i get is stuck on a Patching in progress... and Patched 0 of 68 files window. The launcher says version 3 and the game version says 448.

When you do a fresh install of 3DXChat for the first time, the launcher might complain and say that it failed because of a network error.

Make sure that your antivirus does not block the launcher and try to launch it as administrator.
Some countries block adult content like 3DXChat, so you might need to install a VPN to complete the download.
There are some free VPN options available like Proton VPN.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately download failed after 5 attempts is not my issue. I get past that, through patch archive cleared, and then it downloads briefly before switching to a new window saying Patched 0 of 68 files where it will sit at for as long as i leave the window open. I used a .bat file that someone else posted in another thread to clear the registry which unfortunately didn't help either.

 

Forgot to add that for good measure i did give the VPN an install and attempted again but it didn't solve the issue.

Okie, so it finishes the download but can't copy over the new files then?

  Try to move it like I stated here and check the permission and antivirus from blocking changing files:

You won't get a normal installation window, and it has nothing to do with the version of windows you use, it's the way 3DXChat is developed.

You possibly want to place the launcher somewhere else e.g. X:\3DXChat\ and create a shortcut onto your desktop or taskbar from there.

Yeah the download finishes but then gets hung up on patching. 

The folders all have access to read \ write but I'm unsure of what you mean by antivirus blocking changing files. I'm using basic Windows 10 Security.

I moved the Launcher folder and nothing changed unfortunately. Moving just the Launcher made it freak out that it wasn't grouped with a Unity file.

You need to move everything to a folder with correct permissions, not only the launcher on it's own.
