  1. Quantization artifacts are pretty serious in 2.0 on my system - not a problem in 1.0 client...
  2. Pic of beach flood disaster after I press settings button and apply or cancel:
  3. Opacity render issue in Fresco: Shadow coming from wrong direction on beach:
  4. I run 3dxchat on a Mac Pro tower and an ancient macbook pro (2008!) with almost no issues except a few missing system unicode fonts for wingdings and some overheating on the ancietn laptop. Playonmac works beautifully well on OSX and Linux. That goes for 1.0 and 2.0 beta clients on my systems.
  5. Here's how the highlights look in default exterior user room lighting on my main system.
  6. build 342 (26.06.2016) Bugs I've found in latest patch: 1) Clothes colors don't stay on consistently - change shirt color it always seems to come back white when I load any room. Same goes for other clothes, although after setting it a few times pants and shoes colors stuck. No luck with shirt though 2) Water covers beach if I adjust any settings at all and then hit apply. Reload to beach fixes it. 3) Anti-aliasing seems to be so-so right now. Both methods yield below par results, especially jaggy on nearly vertical straight lines. 4) Light cubes and light emitters in general look flat and washed out in all environments, though night looks best. But not nearly as saturated and detailed as Unity 4 client. 5) Reflection maps affect shadowed interiors too much in user rooms. I think the environment maps should be toned down on surfaces that are not struck by exterior light. Although this is VASTLY improved in this version, it's still washing out more detail from the surfaces than I think is optimal. 6) Dark colors in sunset still have too much brown ambient color, although much better than previously. 7) Highlights are way better now in sunlit exteriors, but I still find them blown out on beach and terraces in user rooms. Would like to say this patch is a HUGE improvement - wow and thank you!
  7. Default or clock set times are OK, don't forget timezone vary Wiley... Your night could be another player's day. User selection needs to always be an option IMHO. User rooms should have owner set default. I think Lisa already said that will happen.
  8. PlayonMac with beta 2.0 works fine for me with default install. What version osx and graphics/drivers?
  9. My system show really dark at night too. I believe its graphics driver related. Seems like a levels (shadow, gamma, highlight) problem that not everyone experiences. On my system often highlits are blown out flat white (apt 1 outside daylight) and totally crushed black shadows at night. Would be nice if game had color correction controls BTW, even in old client I would use that.
  10. I get the frustration about lack of updates and content. Without the friends I've made in 3dx I might have let my subscription expire. But the graphics are very important to me, more so than clothes or hair selection. I've left other games with far more selection because i just can't get past how disturbingly ugly everything is. In the end it's the people and the RP that matters to me, supported by good visuals. I guess we each have our own priorities. Honestly, I can't deal with the character bases and shitty graphics in RLC and IMVU. There's no amount of dressing up and locations that can make up for the fact that they remind me of Beavis and Butthead. I'm a Beavis and Butthead fan... but never once thought I'd be tempted into a threeway. Give them girly genitals, soften the face, dress them up with 500 purses 80 pairs of shoes I'm still fucking Beavis and or Butthead. I think Unity 5 is going to make a difference for a lot of people, me included, but it's just a start. Do I want more poses? Fuck yes I do. LOTS more. I want better apartments, clothes that don't look like I've been shopping at Members Only from the '80s... and some new locations, too. And I don't think Unity 5 will be a magic bullet for that. But I do believe once it's out we'll start seeing updates with more content. One of these days a worthy competitor will surface, and 3dx will wither fast unless development ramps up significantly. Today that competitor does not exist, imho.

  20. I've started a new series - a collaboration with my beloved sub here in 3dx, Vile Dementia. The series is called, shock of shocks, "Vile Dementia". Will be a mix of BDSM, cheescake, and 1960s hot rod art inspiration. Plus whatever else creeps from the dark netherregions into my gestalt. First pic...
