Did they replace a software engineer with a delivery manager? I had this happen to me before in little England. Are the owners who we pay so ignorant? I guess the situation here is why 9+/10 startups fail, despite funding and talent attracted... incompetent and arrogant owners and managers.

Second week this is not working. I switched to another game and cancelling my subscription. I will check the forums occasionally, just in case it get resurrected, when administrators, developers and animators are hired that can tackle this mess. The best I can wish is that all colders and daters will be gone by then, if it ever happens

Agreed with FF, that is what looks to me too, the only other alternative is that they fired their last devs using the Gizmo and Lisa accounts.

These host the website and game downloads. They must be using another service for the game itself and yet another for the connection middlewere.

I have been around here for quite a bit on and off (4 years or so). The progression of the game, gives more the impression that there are no long term developers and engineers, rather guns for hire to work on an update or two and then the game owners hire another. Also it very rare for actual developers to get involved in community management, unless they are very inexperienced or their company is hopelessly mismanaged.

Time to try something else, Conan Exiles 18+ mod in my case, since I am more into role playing and master/slave dynamics in particular. I will check back, just in case the managers and owners hire any developers and/or engineers to restore the server. Also it seems unfair to shit on Gizmo and Lisa, since for all we know they might be fired, on vacation, parental leave, etc. Problems such as this are rarely because a developer or engineer is lazy, rather managers and owners incompetence.

If refactoring the code is necessary for adding content and functionality more often, then yes, go for it. But doing so for the purposes of changing name/gender, then no, we can create new characters to the same effect and messing with the internals of a stable system to add something already possible, is a very bad idea. Content is what has slowed down over the past couple of years, and if it wasn't for third party content to add value to the game, there would be less players around.

First things first, your characters are not you, only figments of your imagination, so any privacy concerns begin and end there. That said, I also don't like this promotion, it will attract even more deaf/mute characters, like the streamers.

The first and last thing that comes to my mind is to hire more 3D animators and artists, they are numerous and very cheap where the company is located. Maybe employ again a game developer (but that would be quite expensive) and/or a community manager which would also be very cheap. I wouldn't mind an increase of the subscription fee, if there is a steady stream of content and a schedule, even if not tightly followed.

Game lag can not be caused by hacked rooms, outside those rooms... unless something is terribly wrong with the game engine, which wouldn't be surprising at all. As for the hacked rooms themselves and those duplicating public locations, it is a very welcome addition that makes the game more interesting and I would like more of them being available, hopefully without hacks, so anyone can try to create one.

Long straight hair for men and twintails for women please, but what would be even better would be to change all sculpted hair into particles, simulate them and then save the animation into a mesh for the game... this can be done in blender (for three.js simulations), so it should be available to professional tools too.

About the profile photos, I can not wait for all the havoc it will cause to those who pretend to be "genuine" and were asking for this feature, treating a game like a dating service. The new hairstyle is cool, and I would also love to see twintails at some point. This approach does not contribute anything.

There is a game for that already called yareel. But I think that you can still invite to your room, even if you just have opened a chat window and not being in the same room... for whatever sense that makes.

Yes, a lot of plays who think that they are themselves are not, but this topic has been beaten to death. On the other hand, "role-players" either belong to the above group and just use role-play as an excuse to themselves and others when they mess up or want to have a break from themselves or wish to think in a different way then they do in real life. Personally, I have characters for the last purpose, but usually play someone close to my personality, mannerism and appearance even though there is no way to be even remotely close to me given every game's limitations and how this affects other players. EDIT: Even though the obvious answer for most is safety.

Open your room to the group or invite the group individually as I told you in the other thread you asked/suggested.

Invite the first, wait for the room to load, and then the second from the private chat tab, etc. It works exactly the same way with guys and couples.
