I heard from some user, especial couples, that they like to decorate an apartment together and share it as their Homeplace.
 
Whats about real sharing of a room for married couples?
 
-both are allowed to change furniture and decorate the home
-both may enter it any time and spawn there when they logg-in
-both may Invite others, make, the room public etc.
 
You could add an extra room for married couples or simple share on of the both apartments.
