  1. I would like to make some suggestions for the next poll. Some of these are really minor, but I think they would please a lot of people. !. Make all actions that target other players consensual. In other words, apply a dialog box with Accept and Decline buttons for cuddles, kisses on the cheek, and kisses during couple dances, as well. 2. Since there are also many people who would like to give control over to their dominant partner, have a check box that makes approval automatic for all actions, including sex poses, when they come from your partner. 3. Enable players to buy drinks for anyone in the same location. In other words, when you click the drink stand, you get a list of all the people in that location, including yourself. Then click on the player you want to buy the drink for. And, of course, the other person has the right to accept of decline the drink. LOL 4. A poker game for the people sitting at the tables in Sin Club or in apartments. I certainly would pay 500 Xgold to be able to play, say, 10 hands of poker with whoever is at the table.

  3. There appears to be another bug related to the daily Xgold reward. I am often online when the 24-hour period ends and the reward resets. When this happens, the program freezes, I have to exit manually using Task Manager, and then, when I relog, I get my Xgold reward for the day. This really needs to be fixed because I was in the middle of something really . . . um . . . stimulating, so to speak, when it happened today, and my "happy ending" got turned into "let me put you on hold for a moment," which was not cool. LOL
  4. Oh, get over yourself, Riela. You are looking for drama with comments like this. Not everything is the same in every Internet forum, and it is ridiculous to use that as a rationale. In almost every online-game forum that I have ever participated in, eventually you reach a point where the veterans whine about the newbies raising well-worn issues. It's a very common phenomenon. And the best way to solve this problem is with a well-organized and and well-written FAQ that addresses such common issues. This forum has no FAQ and the forum itself is only loosely organized, with plenty of topics are that not of interest to everyone. So if you want to address this issue by suggesting that it's time for us users to work together to create a nice FAQ, then I am on board with that idea. But if all you are gonna do is whine and trash other people's threads, then you are just making drama. Stop it, please.
  5. I think it could equally be said that we don't need people thrashing threads they don't like, either. If you're no longer interested in this topic, don't read the thread. It's as easy as that.
  6. Not me. I have two because one is just too small to express my whole personality.
  7. This is a funny story (I hope) but my first time was with someone very wonderful, who I wanted to see again. But she stopped playing not long after we met and I never did get a second chance. Then, after a couple of weeks, as I got to understand the game better, I decided I wanted a fresh start, so I deleted my original avi and made a new one with a different look and a different name. And I never did see my first love again. About three months after that, though, I met someone I really liked. She was smart, witty, and a lot of fun to chat with. But for some reason, she was always a little wary of me, and it took her a long time to drop her guard around me. Well, one day we got to talking about all the mistakes we had made as newbs and all the things we didn't want to go through again. Some of them were pretty funny, and on a whim, I asked her the name of her first avi. Turns out, it was her! I told her the name of my first avi and how she had taken my cherry, which she remembered, too. We had a good laugh over that one. But she never did give me a second chance.
  8. I really hope this discussion doesn't deteriorate into character assassination. As far as I am concerned, the suitability of the word in question is not the real issue. It's the cause, but it's not the real issue. The real issue here is that the majority of us did not want in-game moderation, and when in-game moderation stopped, it meant that we all agreed to respect other people's feelings in public areas. In my opinion, that means that if another player asks you to stop doing something, you don't argue about the rules or about your rights. You stop doing whatever it is out of respect for the person who asked you to stop. This applies equally to using offensive words, speaking in a language other than English, having sex in public near where other people are socializing, or any other behavior in which the rights of one party start to infringe on the rights of others. Part of what this forum is for is discussing issues like this, so that we all know what the rules actually are (and the rules do change from time to time) and that we can understand perspectives of other people, who don't necessarily think as we do. I think that Fey handled the situation really well and her message to this forum was fair and well balanced. In response to that, Bartroli identified himself as the person in question, explained his point of view, and offered to apologize. Kudos to the both of them. Given all that, I see no reason to skew the discussion into the realm of moral judgement of personal character. As Sgt. Friday might have said: "Just the facts, man."

How do we know you are telling the truth? Of course, I am only half joking. Lies, like the truth, are not absolute. And I've seen enough negativity around here to know that nay-saying is the enemy of problem-solving. It's called "privacy" and it means that individuals don't have to be seen if they don't want to be seen. You seem to feel that a person who sets their status to offline when they are actually online is being deceitful. But I would counter that a person who suspects that someone showing as offline is actually online is being unreasonably suspicious and is invading that someone's privacy. Anyway, like everything else, some people will use it and some people will abuse it. If eliminating abuse is the goal, we might as well shut down the server and hide in our closets. One other point I would like to see discussed, however, is what happens when a message is not delivered. I would like to see the system return a "Message not delivered" notification for PMs and leave it at that. In fact, I think the system could use that right now.

I totally agree, and while I do hope they add the "PM from FL" feature, at the same time, I hope they add a "Refuse all PMs" feature, too.
  11. Well, you will have to tell us how you want to proceed, Gizmo. Do you want to make a poll for us to vote or do you just want to present your own list? Anyway, I think it is great to get a positive response from the Devs to all the comments this past week.
  12. I think this point bears repeating, because there are literally tens of thousands of on-line games that have faced issues like these, and there are people out there with the expertise to create a business plan that will make 3DX a huge success. Actually, there are people on this forum who have demonstrated that they know how to make this business work. All you have to do is listen to them. That being said, there are three things that I think are crucial going forward. 1. Create a developer kit that will allow Users to create static content. Publicize this kit to the Users so that they understand what the quality requirements are and how they can create content for 3DXchat. Implement User-created content as much as possible. (And if you don't believe me, you seriously need to check out the other 3D-sites that have significant in-game economies based on User-created content.) 2. Create a year-long business plan with a schedule that shows targets for both game content and business performance. Publicize the schedule for content updates and commit to keeping that schedule. 3. Find someone (preferably a native speaker of English) to serve as a liaison on this forum between the Devs and the Users. Let that person prepare daily or weekly summaries for the Devs to read of what the players are saying and then let that person prepare weekly responses from the Devs to the Users. Also, let that person edit all your English-language advertising copy to ensure that there is no more false advertising. In short, you really need to make an effort to communicate more effectively with your Users.
  13. One suggestion I would like to make is that players receive Xgold based on how much they pay for their subscription. So, for example, a person who pays 20 euro for a monthly subscription also gets 2000 Xgold with each monthly renewal. And a person who pays 100 euro for an annual subscription gets 10,000 euro with each annual renewal. In other words, the more money you spend, the more Xgold you get, and the people who pay the higher monthly rate also can feel like they get added value.
  14. This might sound like a strange suggestion, but I think you should add a Help Desk location on at least one of the maps. Maybe the lobby of the Night Club or the middle deck of the Yacht would be a good place. It doesn't need any functionality. Just a table, some chairs, and a sign that says "Help Desk--Ask questions here." Then those of us who want to volunteer to sit at the help desk and field questions from newbies know where to go and the newbies can also be referred there.
  15. 1) What 3DXchat feature do you like? I've played on a number of other 3D chat servers—including IMVU, Second Life, and AChat—but 3DXchat clearly has the best combination of high-quality content for both social and adult scenarios as well as a diverse community of open minded and adventurous players. What’s more, the community overall is very active, and a lot of players contribute their time and energy to organize social events that are a lot of fun for everyone who attends. It’s a highly complex, highly dynamic environment that can be intimidating at first, but if you just make an effort to get to know people, you’ll soon be having the time of your virtual life on 3DXchat. 2) What would you say to people who haven't played 3DXchat yet? If you’re still wondering whether you should give 3DXchat a try or not, all I can tell you is that I’ve been enjoying this game for several hours a day during the past eight months, and even at the full-price, $19.95-a-month subscription rate, it still costs only about twenty cents per hour of gameplay. In fact, I just renewed with a one-year subscription, which means that 3DXchat will cost me less than 10 cents per hour of gameplay over the coming year. Seen in that light, I think it’s fair to say that you simply can’t afford not to play this high-quality, award-winning adult MMORPG.
  16. I'm sorry, but this issue has nothing to do with respect, and I feel that people who think it does are conflating two different things: people playing the game the way they want to play it and people harassing other players. If two people are having a conversation in Local or World Chat about something that I don't understand or that I am not interested in, I just ignore it. End of story. This happens all the time, when I hear people talking about other games they play or when they are bantering with their friends. Socializing is what Local and World Chat is for, and just because other people are talking about something I don't understand doesn't mean they are disrespecting me. And a conversation in a language I don't understand automatically falls into that category. Two people speaking in Russian sounds the same to me as two people talking about WoW or any other online game I have never played. I don't understand a word of it, but I don't have to, because it's not my conversation. There are a lot of people who play this game differently from how I play it. But as long as they don't send me cold invites, spam me, harass me, or impersonate my friends, then as far as I'm concerned, they should do as they like. At least when it comes to the 3DX community, "live and let live" is all the respect I need.
  17. The fact that not all players have the same opinion about this issue is an important point for the Devs to be aware of as they try to address these problems and create a system that will satisfy the greater part of the community. And that community is not a monolith, which means that the system must be as flexible as possible. There is more than one way to skin a cat, which is especially important to know if the cat has a chainsaw. Quite frankly, if it weren't for the legal necessity to ensure that no one under 18 is playing this game, I would say: Make a basic set of content that is free to play to anyone, and then charge to add premium content. In any case, there is no "right" answer. The way forward is to find a combination of features that works for as many people as possible.
  18. This is not a criticism of the players who buy Xgold, but to be honest, I think every time you purchase gold, you put money in the devs pockets for which they didn't have to do anything. And that is why this game is stagnating. As long as the devs can make money without providing new content, this game will rot. That is why I think that Xgold is the best example of the disconnect between the devs and the players. I have said it before, but I am willing to pay for new content, and I think a lot of other people would be, too. If there were five new articles of clothing or accessories every month, I would be glad to pay 500 Xgold for the ones I wanted to wear. If there were new furniture items or a new map every month, I would be glad to pay 500 Xgold for the ones I like. I have no problem with a system where you pay a monthly fee for access to basic maps with a basic selection of clothes, and then pay with Xgold for other items that you like. There are dozens of other games just like this and many of them have excellent features even though they lack the high quality adult content of 3DX. Do your homework, Devs! The answers are out there.
  19. On top of my head, isn't it?
  20. Don't you know that Miyu rules, Twink?
  21. Although English is my native language, I have never agreed with Rule 2.23 and don't feel that a proper rationale for it has ever been presented. Moreover, I have seen this rule used to harass people who were simply greeting others in their native language, so even though it is "a rule," I don't think it should be interpreted or enforced too strictly. Of course, lately it is not enforced at all, so it's a moot point. I personally think that people should speak in whatever language they want to use in World and Local chat. Restrictions on what is said in Local and World chat should focus on avoiding spam and allowing all players an equal opportunity to participate. We have all seen plenty of stupid conversations in English in Local and World chat, I'm sure. I think the focus should be on respecting the community, not on what language is being spoken.
  22. Really? Last I heard, you didn't have any trouble with foxes. ...chuckles
  23. Probably in your registry. Back up your registry first, and then follow the instructions here: http://3dxchat.com/forum/index.php?/topic/443-cant-dl-latest-patch/?hl=registry&do=findComment&comment=14911
  24. Did you trash this thread by making smartass remarks without even once addressing the OP's concerns? Seems to me that you made at least one serious answer here, so then I wouldn't be talking about you, Macca. And I'm not saying that memes have no place or that all threads have to be serious. I'm just saying that there are more than a few people who really don't give two shits one way or the other, but love to take every opportunity to amuse themselves at other people's expense. So if a thread starts out as a joke, by all means, make jokes. But if a newb asks for help dealing with something that we have all gone through at one time or the other, why jump on his shit just because he's a newb? But as far as I am concerned, anyone who can't be bothered to help bring a newb up to speed ought to just shut the fuck up.
  25. I don't care to comment about this thread per se, but I do have a comment about people who post smartass remarks or memes when they don't agree with something: Please shut the fuck up. I am really tired of people who trash threads they don't agree with. If you don't agree or if you have lost interest in a thread, then just ignore it and please stop amusing yourselves at other people's expense. Every one comes here has a newb. All newbs go through the same growing pains. If you are just too fucking cool to tolerate newbs anymore, then start your own thread and trash who or whatever you want. Feel free to start with me. ...getting down off my soapbox.
