Sometimes I get the impression that the devs has only watched porn and never been out in the real life :-). That girls in the game are forced to always wear heels is another example of this.

I figure that has more to do with having to create an alternate version of every walking/standing/dancing animation.

I think I've been told it became too much of a technical challenge to keep supporting, but... the return of height!

Honestly, if I'm going to be asked to provide individual members some kind of "proof" or otherwise be constantly suspected of "pretending to be a girl", I'd just rather be able to have a verified status from one submission to the devs that puts it all to bed. That's pretty much why I say I've always found it an overall benefit to communities like FetLife, SexForums, and /r/DirtyPenPals.

 

Well, the only issues about a "picture of yourself with a written message" is that it can be easily fooled. Either by asking a RL friend to take it for you or by some photoshoping. Photoshop can be tricky but I have seen some impressive work in the past.

Sure, I guess, but I would think that'd be such a minority of cases that it wouldn't really be on anyone's minds. At least, I haven't seen it being a problem elsewhere.

 

It seems like it mostly relieves the few people who are inclined to witch hunt, though, that's what I'm trying to say.   Then again, I'm thinking of very big communities as my examples. Maybe, being so small, it would be different here, for better or worse. Hmm... 

I've participated in similar communities that feature a "picture of yourself with a written message" verification as an option, and honestly it does seem to me like it's a net benefit overall. The people who care about it have it available, and those who don't care... simply don't care.

 

I see the concern that it would put pressure on people to verify, but I've never actually seen that happen. Most people never verify, most people still message the unverified (although many have a preference for the verified, but I think the distinction is important) and things keep rolling along.

If i were to guess, my guess would be it had something to do with pose positioning. Remember height heavily effected that in second life during sex animations, you had sometimes to manually adjust positions. Guessing that it might be the reason for it, to avoid parts looking weird or being at wrong places if they height range between avatars are to big.

Yeah, I wish I knew why and whether it was an issue that was being worked on. Height (and size in general) is weirdly important for me, to be honest. Much more so than we currently have the freedom to play with.

Hey, you don't have to be naive. It would actually be more naive to think that rates of violence are getting worse. They've been dropping for a long time. It's a huge part of the human story so far that we've striven for more and more peace and safety over time, and we've been successful at that so far.

1. I hope that a first-person mode can be implemented this year. For VR if nothing else. I'm so excited for it...

The return of height! My avatar's based on me and I'm very short; I just want to get closer! Feels weird to be so tall.

More body customization for everybody. Face options, body/pubic hair options, nipples, genitals... Everyone has different tastes here and wouldn't it be great to see it come to life? The avatars seem attractive to everybody as they are (amazingly!), but they're pretty much interchangeable aside from hairstyle and clothes, so here's hoping.

More clothes for the poor guys.

I think our town hall is pretty damn cool.

After everything I do for school and work, I've only been filling time with gaming and perving, and I'm really happy with this arrangement.   Mostly free-to-play shooters lately because I find it narcissistically satisfying when guys are surprised that I'm a girl.
