  1. Scenes from "The Matrix" (1999) Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. If you cancel the 3DXChat subscription - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. If you renew your subscription - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. […] Morpheus: What is real? How do you define 'real'? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. […] Morpheus: The 3DXChat is a virtual system, Neo. That system is our bliss and sadness. When you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Men, women, Bob and Betty. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that virtual system and that makes them vulnerable. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on that virtual system, that they will fight to protect it. [Neo's eyes suddenly wander towards a woman in a short red dress, passing by on the beach] Morpheus: Were you listening to me, Neo? Or were you looking at Betty, the woman in the red dress? Neo: I was... Morpheus: [gestures with one hand] Look again. [the woman in the red dress is now a man, called Bob, pointing something at Neo's head which looks very much like a gun, but it wasn’t really one; Neo ducks and s….] Morpheus: Freeze it. [Everybody and everything besides Neo and Morpheus freezes in time – a red sign pops up saying “Connection lost” -RECONNECT-] Neo: This... this isn't 3DXChat? Morpheus: Well yes it is. We were just kicked of the server and have to queue in front of the login portal… Damn! we have waiting number 683! […] Trinity: I know why you're here, Neo. I know what you've been doing... why you hardly sleep, why you live alone, and why night after night, you sit by your computer. You're looking for Betty. I know because I was once looking for Bob. And when he found me, he told me I wasn't really looking for him. I was looking for an answer. It's the question that drives us, Neo. It's the question that brought you here. You know the question, just as I did. Neo: What is 3DXChat? Trinity: The answer is out there, Neo, and it's looking for you, and it will find you if you want it to. Hope you like it, Xeno
  2. “If you want to find out what a man is to the bottom, give him power. Any man can stand adversity–only a great man can stand prosperity."

  3. "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power." (Abraham Lincoln)

  4. Casablanca – ending scene Xeno: Last night we said a great many things. You said I was to do the thinking for both of us. Well, I've done a lot of it since then, and it all adds up to one thing: you're getting on that broomstick with Remus Lupin where you belong. Nymphadora: But, Xeno, no, I... I... Xeno: Now, you've got to listen to me! You have any idea what you'd have to look forward to if you stayed here? Nine chances out of ten, we'd both wind up in the Sin Club. Isn't that true, gizmo? gizmo: I'm afraid the other players would insist. Nymphadora: You're saying this only to make me go. Xeno: I'm saying it because it's true. Inside of us, we both know you belong with Remus Lupin. You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going. If that broomstick leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life. Nymphadora: But what about us? Xeno: We'll always have Hogwarts. We didn't have, we, we lost it until you came to 3dxchat. We got it back last night. Nymphadora: When I said I would never leave you. Xeno: And you never will. But I've got a job to do, too. Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I've got to do, you can't be any part of. Nymphadora, I'm no good at being noble, but it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world. Someday you'll understand that. [Nymphadora lowers her head and begins to cry] Xeno: No, no... [Xeno gently places his hand under her chin and raises it so their eyes meet] (Proposing slow dance) Xeno: Here's looking at you kid. (klicking the kiss entry) Hope you like it, Xeno
  5. Dear friends, I don't know if I am right here... in the open forum. This topic is just for fun.... Well, the idea is to alter famous movie scenes in such a way that they fit into the 3dchat world. I will give you a first example below. Anyone who likes it, can post similar altered movie quotes here. I am really excited to see your ideas. Best regards, Xeno
  6. @Tlaera Well, I think that is a first approach to ease it. It wouldn't influence the good sides of alts but impedes the bad side. It solves some problems. Some of my friends are on the friendship lists of some or all my alts. I informed those friends in advance, that the other character is also me. Other friends are only in one friendship list exclusively. I don't want to inform them, just because I do not want to get in touch with them with the relevant alt. For example I use one alt for the people of my country and one for the international community. With each of them I do not approach the other community .. the international does not enter the community of my country (mainly shared rooms) and the other is only visiting the community of my country. Only a few friends know about the connection between both alternates. I am very careful to use both of them appropriately not to harm any player. Thanks for the ideas, Tlaera Xeno
  7. Dear friends, thanks for all the opinions and the input you made.. I see the pros and contras .. Extracting the essential information, it says: Alts give more freedom, you can be alone using an alt.. because your friends cannot see you online, ideal for role-play .. or using for family play .. on the other bad side is... Alts are misused by players to cheat or to play false with friends mainly to manipulate them to influence their opinion about the other alt... This mainly leads to mistrust between players. So the question is how to remove the bad side, without loosing the good characteristics...? Thanks for all and hoping of finding a solution.. Regards, Xeno
  8. My suggestion: The first four entries in the ranking list are reserved for X-gold promoted rooms. If you promote your room with 300 X-gold you push your room on the first entry as long as another player does the same with his room. He gets then on the first entry and you drop to the second and so on .. if you reach the fourth entry and another player promotes his room with X-gold, you drop back into the "normal" list. This would give you time to accumulate players and you are not only listed for seconds on the top. Regards, Xeno

  10. Be respectful with everyone..

  11. If you uninstall and reinstall the game, 3dx is installed in a new directory directly in the root directory and not in "program files (x86)". A possibility is that the Windows firewall blocks the connection between server and program due to the new installation directory. Regards, Xeno
  12. ..or if another user pays 300xp to get his shared room on the top.. then the previous room on top drops to that place depending on the number of visitors.. In fact it means you have to pay a lot to advertise your room if you cannot fill it with people soon.. Before the update you just were listed on second place after another has payed 300xp to push his room on the top.. Regards, Xeno
  13. @Dallas .. I completely agree with your opinion. As I said before I see a lot of risks here, especially most people which are part of the streaming are not aware that they are broadcasted. My decision is that I will set every streamer on "Full ignore" just to protect myself. That will be some work because I have to check Plexstorm for streamers and then find them in the game.. Best regards, Xeno
  14. @Nixxx I am now beginning to understand you ... Regards Xeno
  15. I just saw some Plexstorm streams yesterday night. On one of them there was a naked man wearing some comic series helmet on cam masturbating while playing 3dx ... this will destroy any romantic thoughts I think ... ;-)
  16. Hi everybody, I am aware of the problem with alternate avatars. As you know you can have three different avatars in one account. Many players use them fairly. But it is also no secret, that there are several possibilities to misuse this tool .. which mostly reduces trust between the players (like e.g., cheating, or using Pandora to find out the alts of an account). My idea here would be to set an overall parent account nickname, which is shown in the avatars profile, so that the connections between players is apparent for everyone. I would like to open this idea as a topic for discussion and polling. Best regards, Xeno
  17. @Nixxx I am sorry, if that was due to unfair and hurting comments.. I hope that was not the case. On the other side, I know that if someone represents a different opinion as myself that could hurt.. However, the worst thing you can do is to run away, if it gets difficult.. Too many people do that instead of defending themselves .. a good quote here is Albert Einstein: "Die Welt wird nicht bedroht von den Menschen, die böse sind, sondern von denen, die das Böse zulassen." (The world is not threatened by the people who are evil, but by those who allow evil.) Regards, Xeno
  18. @Nixxx Aren't you so much better? You are complaining that people here discuss several topics and that bothers you. This is a forum and it lives from discussion. In a society different opinions should be respected as long as they are factually represented. And by the way, democracy lives from the discussion of different opinions. Most people here are trying to make the world better, it's not just complaining.. I would like to end the post with a quote of the German Poet Heinrich Heine who said: "Die Freiheit der Meinung setzt voraus, daß man überhaupt eine hat." (The freedom of opinion requires that you have one at all.) Best regards, Xeno
  19. Apart from the point, whether the streaming itself or the transfer of personal conversations violate laws, I consider the live streaming at least morally questionable. It can be baffled to bully people in the form of slander, harassment, oppression and coercion - all live. This can cause a strong personal damage to the people involved or attacked. The only option I currently see to prevent the streaming of my character and to protect my privacy is to set every character who is streaming the game at PLEXSTORM to "Full Ignore" in 3dxchat. But I doubt that this is the final solution of the problem... Regards, Xeno
  20. @JenC The important thing is, it's not just a game like others (action games etc.). Yes, there are 3D animated characters, but there are real people behind it and in my experience the most of them transfer their real and deepest feelings into their avatars .. and then these feelings are broadcasted to a worldwide audience, that's the main point.. So even if one has a nick name and is not revealing his real life identity, nevertheless it could cause a big personal emotional damage, because it happens to a real human being (e.g. like Internet Mobbing on social networks). Best regards, Xeno
  21. @JenC I agree, that screen captures can be made public, but I see a great difference between screen capture randomly shot and uploaded to a server and a live stream broadcasted to everyone. The argument, that you shouldn't be on the internet if you fear, that you will be streamed in the game is not a good one. The problem is that you have no choice to logoff because you are not aware that a person streams you. I will you give you an example from real life: When a broadcasting company like the BBC etc. films you and wants to broadcast that in TV they have to ask you if you agree. As a consequence of your objection, that you don't put stuff on the internet it would mean for real people they should stay home to avoid, they would be broadcasted in TV. Best regards, Xeno
  22. Hi everybody, I would like to raise up some points to think about that these streams can also have their negative side. As I understand it, each player is able to stream what he sees on his computer screen to a public audience. As long as these are public places and it is a public chat, it’s fine. But what if the conversation is very private and the person who is talking to the player who streams is not aware of this? Or even more they meet in a private room having sex and the streaming partner has no idea that his intimacy is broadcasted worldwide? What, if the streaming person misuses the stream to bring the other person in a situation to expose him and to make him ridiculous to a worldwide audience? I could raise even more points, but I think these few are enough to start a thinking process. If somebody wants to stream, what he is currently doing in the game, it’s fine. But it always involves others who aren’t possibly aware that they are currently “on air” and they don’t see the “broadcast is running” sign. Best regards, Xeno
  23. I chose my character name, because firstly I am a big Harry Potter fan ... and second the name has a double meaning regarding this game. Although, I am not sure, that my surname holds what it promises ..lol ...
