There's no guessing about what goes on inside that van.

An uncle restored a van like this and after my cousin rolled it off the highway he cut the top off of it and let us use it as a go-cart through the desert and washes in Arizona. It was lots of fun but you couldn't rest your arm on it without it cutting you. It was a total right-wing image: three chicas driving off-road with .22's, shotguns, and mixers.

My sis and her ex in the late 90's had turned one into a camper, while she went to ASU in Tempe and he played in a Dead tribute band at the Sail Inn.

I never forget to vote but somehow, from what you say, we may be on differing sides with differing ideas of government. BUT life would be boring if we all agreed on everything.

The thing you have to accept about being different is being reminded by others. It's both the cost and the responsibility.

Acceptance is neither a cost nor responsibility of how you live your life. It comes naturally. People accept how I live my life or they don't... that is THEIR decision, I dgaf. If one worries about acceptance, then they are not choosing to be themselves.

Acceptance is based on mutual respect and honesty. IF I respect someone for who they are then rightfully they should respect me for who I am. IF they choose to judge me or not respect me for me being me, how can I respect them or how can they expect me too, as long as I am harming no one else, what are they losing by my being who I am.

If a friend of mine wants to believe they are from Mars and believes 100% in their mind, body and soul they are, then as long as they hurt no one and respect others, wtf business is it of mine. 

My belief is especially in the USA, people worry MORE about everyone else and try to keep up with their friends and whomever, that they no longer truly know what they believe or who they are. I know friends who I went to school with and their parents are sick and dying or dead, are finding out their parents who lived as millionaires because their friends did are heavily in credit card debt and they (the kids) are responsible. So, these parents who lived well above their means trying to be like their neighbors and not who they were are hurting their kids because of the debts they leave.

Then there are the friends I went to school with whose parents, were proud of where they were, lived within their means, took on very little debt except a car every few years and a house they lived in for 40 years, leave their kids millionaires.

That is a prime example of living in your own skin and being happy with who you are and not chasing everyone else. People who are fake, tend to hurt the ones who truly love them, BUT their friends who are just as fake are right there until sadly, the differences show. 

Anyway, life is life and however anyone wants to live theirs is no more my business than theirs is in how I choose to live mine. As long as no one is being hurt. And in my life's journeys, I have found that the way I choose to live, so long as I am ok with it and I stand up for what I believe in and keep my eyes and heart on the teachings of Jesus Christ, then I am successful and I can love myself and be happy in my own skin.

Yep. Never giving anyone that much power again. I would love to be in a relationship and perhaps share a home some day but I wont ever marry again. Once was enough.
