  1. My view is that a better idea would just be to get some mods from the community. It really isn't a hard thing to do at all as long as the devs can just not get emotional about it. They need to see the mods as their employees not their friends, who are doing an important service for the community, and if they are not working out and preforming as expected then they just need to find someone else who is a better fit. All they need to do is contact a few people in the community who seem to share their views, and who obey the forum rules, and ask them if they want to try moderating. Then they just need to review how people are responding to the new moderators actions, and make sure they are not abusing their new power. It seems to work lots of other places, so it should here as well.
  2. I don't understand the need to attack feminism. Also, how do you know those women on the bottom are not feminist. One of the things that feminism has fought for is the right for women to be in the armed forces. I think if you talk to many of the women who are in the armed forces you might find they have feminist views on a number of issues.
  3. I am sure Cal isn't any of those things although as far as her being a little right wing I couldn't really say, since politics really isn't something that gets brought up to much, but I have know her for a little distance in the game for years, and she has always been who she is. I don't see how she has ever said anything to you that justify's you denying her gender, and the other things about her you just said.
  4. Since, the devs haven't posted this in the update thread I though I would. I seems like we are getting interface scaling in the next patch which should be nice I kind of wonder what the update was on Telegram was though. I might have to make an account. I suppose Gizmo is going to be giving his updates on Twitter and Lisa will be using Telegram?
  5. I think it depends on the thread a lot. Lets take the update thread for example we have seen that taken over a number of times by people posting completely of topic things, and arguing with each other. Half the post in it might be of that nature, and maybe even more. If it was up to me I think anyone who starts arguing in the update thread should have their posts deleted, and receive at least a temporary ban. Its wasting both the devs time, and the time of people who want to read that thread for updates.
  6. There are other areas of the forum that are somewhat popular as well. I don't really think that the other social media stuff can really completely replace the forum, although it might be that it would be a good idea anyways, since the forum has to take a huge amount of their time to moderate, and really I am sure most people would rather have more updates then that.
  7. What was wrong with using twitter? It seemed like a good fit for the kind of updates, and news they tend to release. Honestly if they they are going to stop using the forum maybe a blog, or even just keeping the updates section on the main site up to date, and more informative would be a good solution. I am sure this forum is hard to moderate, and mostly a waste of their effort with having to approve post, and deal with spammers, trolls, and what not; however, people shouldn't need to use an app just to get news updates.
  8. I don't really feel like signing up, and making an account just to get updates. There isn't any reason why we shouldn't get updates on the forum. I suppose people are always critical here, but it seems like the devs want to abandon the forum. Maybe there is just to many trolls and toxic people here.
  9. Don't let him bother you sweetie he is an alt himself , and one of the worst trolls here. He is right about one thing though getting rid of alts for real, and not allowing new account from people who were banned from the game would make his life easier, since in that case when he is banned again he would stay gone for good.
  10. I think limiting how much people can post in world chat in one way or another might be a good idea. 100 gold seems like kind of a lot for a single post though. It would be be nice if it wasn't always so full of trolling I actually like the adds better then most of what is in world chat.
  11. Not every post that is "controversial" is over a personal dispute. This thread was about what was going on on the forum about a year ago. The threads that it was referring to were more like your example of room stealing and most ended up deleted. It doesn't really reflect the current situation on the forum which has been mostly quiet and there wasn't really any need to bring it up.
  12. I honestly don't even understand what a clothing editor would be like or how it could work people really need to explain what they have in mind for that better. I cant see how it could make clothing that is close to the quality of what we have now, and there would still be all the same issues of having to transfer lots of files. I think it would be a much better idea and far easier for them just to let people create their own stuff and upload it then trying to make some type of built in clothing editor.
  13. I like the update too its a shame that we still need the .dll though to really use the editor.
  14. Its a great idea I would think though that it should be possible to lock the other axis so it only pivots. I assume this is really a test object and they will add real doors if people find it useful. It might be better though making them interactive so you can click it to close and open instead of having to walk though it and have it flip flop.
  15. As far as the dress goes maybe it would help if it wasn't made out of latex. I think it will look like it doesn't fit no matter whats its made out of, but the material really doesn't help the creases are all wrong for it. If it was made out of something like this though it would look more natural. The way it fits reminds me more of a bath wrap then a dress.
  16. I think that it hasn't been that bad other then the week long outage, and that happened before the patch. I think its kind of expected that a update to the server might cause some issues though. I do notice that when I log on if I don't go to the changing room first its likely to drop me which is kind of annoying, but that just started with the last patch. Over all I would rather they make more updates then stop working on things just because of a few connection issues.
  17. My experience has been that its kind of both a lot of people are clearly looking for sex, but most also want to make social connections at least inside the game.
  18. My opinion is that if its possible to keep a room open, but only by switching the host many people wont do it, because of ego's mostly just look at how many people complained about rooms being stolen for example. I think it would only really make sense for rooms that have a purpose other then just being a location for a party or some event.
  19. The new shapes are nice one thing that I have seen a lot of people trying to do, but they cant ever really get quite right is make ships. We could really use a bow shape, and a few others shapes like that for making ships.
  20. Another thing that might help with a long list would be to let people categorize it a bit based on the intended use of the rooms.
  21. All that might be needed is just to automatically close a room unless its open by the original host if it has 0 people in it, or maybe all rooms with 0 people in them should just close.
  22. I think it would be really useful if the hosting for a room could be handed off to another player without letting them reopen the room later. It would also be useful to be able to give people who are not host privileges, so they can change the stream for example. A setting that automatically selects a host if the host crashes or leaves with people still in the room would be useful too, possibly handing it back to the original host if they rejoin.
  23. For this type of game a final release date means its dead. I wouldn't read to much into it being called beta. All that means in this case is its still having stuff added.
  24. The world editor is still moving to fast, and it seems like after you load or save a big room a few times it gets slower and slower. When there are a lot of complicated things on screen I have also had it start flipping upside down which give me a huge headache it happened earlier today to me when I was working on my room.
  25. Personally I think that an account wide ignore is problematic since it will always provide an avenue for a program like Pandora to link accounts up no matter how it was implemented. I have been thinking about it a bit though, and maybe an idea is to make it so its part of the friend list instead. It could work like this if you add someone to you friends list who has an alt on your ignore list after both parties have accepted a popup would appear that says that the person you just added as a friend has an alt on your ignore list. It wouldn't necessarily even need to say who it is on your ignore list although it could. It seems to me like that would be fair, and not provide a way for something like Pandora to work since the check would only happen after both parties agreed to it.
