MeiLing
What's about your brandwidth with winamp? If you had x peoples in the room, you would have x connection to your pc. I guess that you know the consequences. More your IP might be visible to your visitor. Are you sure that you want this ? Best solution: a server
TheHuntress
People don't connect to your computer, you actually use Winamp to connect to a server of your choice and then use this server's URL in 3dx to stream your music. So, only the server needs to connect to your computer, the users can only retrieve the streaming server IP, not yours.
AlexRyder
It's quite possible (and pretty easy) to set up you own shoutcast server and stream directly from your PC Chilles
Chilles
It's quite possible (and pretty easy) to set up you own shoutcast server and stream directly from your PC That's correct Shoutcast is also as windows application available and with them is it easy to use the own pc as source host. For people with endless resources and Internet upload could this be an free alternate as rent a server host
MeiLing
Of course, it is easy.... but you'd better have a good connection and a good firewall.
