  1. It WAS the fault of the game. It worked for two years before the update, then it didn't in the beta, and then when the beta got rolled out as is, it still did not work. How hard is it for you to see the problem here? But I fixed my issue even before you turned up with all of this 'you're doing it wrong' stuff. I don't know what's wrong with you so I can't help fix that.
  2. So what you've just said: you have played some .ogg files on your computer. That's great for you, I'm so pleased. Now try broadcasting your stream in .ogg (note the crucial difference here) and see if 3dx picks it up.
  3. Traktor Pro 3 plays all kinds of file formats - be it OGG, MP3, AIFF, FLAC, WAV or whatever. However, its internal broadcast system captures the master signal, and encodes it into .ogg only. That is then output to a streaming service. However, the master signal can be captured by a third party app, re-encoded into another format - in my case MP3 - and then sent to a stream. And that's what I've had to do to get it working in 3DX. Less of the smart ass please, it's not becoming.
  4. Oh dear me. Yes, traktor plays those codecs. And it streams in .ogg only. As I said. But congratulations on discovering google. And not reading my posts before commenting.
  5. Yes 3DX, you uber-hyper-sexist dinosaurs, when are you going to give the sisters (sidenote: 80% brothers in a sister suit) an option to wank while standing up? What kind of throwback shit is this?
  6. the sample rate has nothing to do with it, as far as i can tell, given i tried them all. rather than try to dismiss a proven workaround, why not let him try it? my stream always worked in my browser, and stopped in 3dx with the update. that's why he should give it a try at least. and no, going by their track record of not bothering to fix things they broke years ago, 3dx will not fix this. --- also, list2myradio is free, has basically unlimited listener privileges, and broadcasts in 192k across shoutcast1, 2 and icecast2. if you need some help, @Paulinus I can try to get you going with an account.
  7. As I've said in other threads, I also had my stream broken by the 'update'. I use traktor, which streams in ogg. I found a workaround, given 3DX was never going to. The solution is thankfully simple - find the Butt client and download that. It's free, very small and works in the background to capture your soundcard output and broadcast that to your regular stream address. It took me 20 mins, once I got the settings right (address/port/password etc/stream in mp3 etc). These instructions might help give you an idea of what to do: https://help.radio.co/en/articles/899769-broadcast-using-this-tool-butt https://danielnoethen.de/butt/
  8. I just don't understand this mentality: Let me pay for a broken game that breaks even more with the new release as long as i get my hands on the shiny. honestly, the release of this version smacks at desperation. they realised they have no capacity to fix the things they broke, and just thought sod it, let's see if they can stomach a half-assed release. And lo, they could.
  9. Exactly - the development track record suggests just that: release half-baked ideas to try to stay fresh, don't worry if anything breaks (ever).
  10. 3DX is facing some serious upcoming competition and to me, recent updates have been rushed out (for want of a better term) simply to show that they are 'doing something', even if the 'doing' breaks key elements of the game. It's not all their fault I guess - they're guided by / have the excuse of customers who have stated they are prepared to accept catastrophic bugs to get their hands on something shiny. Let's not mention that the most recent addition, poorly implemented as it is, is essentially a cash grab that will break the game's "economy". For me, there's a strong dissonance between the "ideas" and "implementation". It doesn't matter how good the ideas are - if they're implemented poorly what is the point? But that circles round to the data they have from their customers - which appears to boil down to "throw anything in as long as its new". The principle of "it's better to have something new even if it's broken" would sink most companies in months.
  11. My sub ends on the 14th. I won't be renewing.
  12. well that's just wonderful
  13. so what new stuff was added that wasn't in the beta? the simple answer: nothing plus, the beta introduced a bunch of bugs in crucial areas of the game, like the builder. and none of them were fixed. they just rolled it out as is. slapdash and amateurish
  14. @Gizmo response required
  15. yes, they've fixed nothing they broke in the four months of 'beta testing'
  16. and I mean apparently they can't even introduce ice creams without breaking practically everything else people use in the game.
  17. the whole thing is a complete mess
  18. Have you seen my posts about all the bugs you've introduced? Are you going to respond?
