Hi, anyone tried an ultra widescreen monitor with 3DX ?    Does it just have black bars on each side of the screen? Thanks

OK, I have VR, which is great for sight seeing, but pretty useless for socialising as it takes too long to type LOL. To be clear I think the VR is great in 3DX, but as I say it has its drawbacks

Well I joined for VR, but have enjoyed the game so much (great game love it) I want to change my crappy monitor ...

So all you veterans any suggestions for a good monitor to get the best out of the game? 

Would pay upto around £500-600 (works out about the same in dollars after UK tax) for a good monitor, though would stretch a little further if it made a big difference ....

So any suggestions gang? <3

I have a powerful desktop and a pretty laggy laptop, the bug almost never happens on the desktop, but occurs on the laptop every now and then.

OK I get you, so it is worse on less powerful PC's .... thats a bummer, its bad enough on my PC

The fact that this bug happens more often on less powerful machines with lower frame rates may be speaking for this theory.

 

 

Hi, I don't consider my PC that underpowered .... Intel i5 6600K CPU @ 3.50 GHZ .... 8GB Ram .... nvidia GTX 1060 6GBs graphics card ..... gaming motherboard (can't remember off hand) .... etc. So I don't think its just older/underpowered systems?

Hi it seems to happen randomly and for me occassionally but usually at the most inopportune time ............ I knew it wasn't just me when it happened to a girl I was in PM with  ...... I nearly went elsewhere until she reappeared and told me the problem had just happened to her .....

Simple, spam the ENTER key a few times and you can type again

Good luck and yes keyboard bug can be very annoying.

 

I think shift + C is to make appear back your mouth pointer when you loose it.

 

I need to do it each time I start the game !

 

Loosing mouth pointer in some situation can be very annoying too, so remember "shift + C"

 

Can need to be done 2 times to work.

Yeah the keyboard stopping is really annoying as you can't say my keyboard has stopped working LOL .....

Thanks Chloe, another option to try ... I will give every option a try and hopefully one or all of them will work ....

Hi, every now and again my keyboard stops working and usually at a most inopportune moment lol .....

I know it happens to others and I have a very powerful PC .....

If the bug can't be fixed is there a way to get the keyboard working again without leaving the room (which does seem to fix it).

I managed to get it back once banging around on the keyboard but can't remember how I did it?

Any ideas welcome thanks .....

Sheeshers, some peeps like doing things tha hard way. The simple method has been explained twice but if you want to delete game, play with the registry go ahead, hey why not format ya hard drive too, then clean ya floors ya car and ya compooting outfit

I followed your instructions which I thank you For  a-) it didn't interfere with anything b-) I could roll it back easy 

But I still say "clear instructions would be nice" .... and a sticky ......

There are several sets of advice, all working to various degrees ....

Which advice used is dependent on which advice a member finds first. Which is no guarantee its the best advice .... and also relies on a new member knowing a search for the answer is required and which threads to search 

No advice from 3dx ......  no sticky ..... nuf said 

Well I eventually followed the advice of AlexRyder and Alliehotass (so thanks to them ) and reinstalled to a new folder ... this was new advice and made sense to me as I just added without subtracting until I am happy.

This method was easy and went without a problem

Should be an official sticky, as if you don't know what you are looking for how are confused members supposed to decide which method to use and how to find the choices dotted through the forum?

 Some are just looking for an excuse to bitch at devs because 99 percent of the time the patch updates work fine.  

 

To be clear, the complaint is there isn't an official instruction ..... several different members giving instructions from uninstall to ... clear registry .... to use a registry cleaner ...  is just confusing. Who is right? .... So I choose the wrong advice and I'm to blame? ..... when a simple notice from 3dx would clear up the issue ... And if that is bitching then I'm a bitch

sure there is, in members area. 

OK, found the updates .... do they work? is it worth trying before doing a total reinstall?

PS, something is going wrong for sure .... I have been several time to fresco's and was the only person in there .... sin club two or three people and two user appartments available .... Yes real professional

well to be fair most of the times when you run the patch, it just patchs it. this time something went wrong but usually you just run the patcher. 

Yes I can understand that things can go wrong but 3dx has put on their site that a new patch is available but no links to the patch?

Thanks for the offer, but pretty much can see what needs to be done .... Just consider that 3dx should do more than just put a notice on their site with no instructions or links .... not everyone reads a forum .....
