Everything Close Up and Compressed

So, just the other day, I was in a friend's room, everything was fine, then I popped over to my room and suddenly everything seemed compressed and closer than it should have been, and the camera was close up on my body. Went to the change room and it was the same. All I can see is my body and part of my legs. I can't pull the camera back any further and the background looks far to close. Also, when I try to move in a room it looks very strange, like I'm sliding across the landscape. I have tried everything I can think of. I've checked all the graphics settings, they're fine. I re-installed the game. I deleted every file I could find related to 3dx then reinstalled again. That put all my game settings back to the way they are when you start, except the problem didn't go away. I just can't seem to fix this. Anyone else experience this, or know how to fix it?

click on the camera symbol on the upper left. Is the zoom slider in the middle or to the right? Can you move it so the camera is responding?

Thank you! That worked. I've never used that zoom slider before so I didn't even think that could be it, but it was.
