I am a live DJ so I take all requests, regardless of music genre.

Doc you throw amazing parties and how you interact with the crowd says a great deal about your love for music ....If I'm on and your room is open I'm always there...hope to catch you open for one last party before I move on ....you are an awesome guy and have been a wonderful friend during my time here ...I only wish there were more on here that had your same passion for music ....you will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope you end up with the most popular room in the game ...

How in the holy hell is is against the rules to discuss C/E, link it .. hell even talk about it but its ok to have 50 rooms in game that have it??? is it just me or is that highly stupid. If you are going to allow it, which you clearly do then give everyone the chance to use it or take them all away
Thats sort of like saying djs cant have illegal music but if you already have it, then thats ok.
Makes perfect sense to me ....let everyone have it or take it away ......

I was in world the other day and some guy starts attacking some girl, etc. anyways he says he knows who she is and mentions a ip hack. Now i could give two shits about who knows my alts. hell just ask and i will tell you but i do care about some freak fucking around and getting my ip. its an invasion of my privacy and everyone elses. Now i dont know if this is true or not. He could have just been blowing smoke out of his ass but if it is true, i would hope things of this nature gets the people who do it banned.

We plan to be very active by organizing a variety of multiple weekly events, and showcasing some of 3DX's best DJs & user rooms. In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to some members of the community to join us in this endeavor. We look forward to super fun times, awesome parties, and of course some great music! I think that what 3dxChat offers as far as music streaming by the users is amazing. I personally don't know of any other games that do this. It's really cool and so fun. I enjoy streaming music to my friends.
I think what Achilles does to help make this possible is really awesome and should be commended. I do not understand the public DJ selection process, but I can see why it would be left up to Achilles if he is the primary one paying for this to be possible. It doesn't seem fair to have one person decide who gets to be a public DJ and who doesn't, but if he is the one paying for it? I don't know. I look forward to hearing about the new plan for a selection process in which the community will take part. Sounds interesting for sure.
I agree with Twiggy that 3dxChat / SexGameDevil or whoever is profiting off this game should definitely be reimbursing Achilles at the very least because a lot of us enjoy the music streaming / parties / dancing to streams more than the sex part of the game. I also think the dancing part of the game should be developed more / expanded greatly.
I agree with pretty much everything Jess has said. I too enjoy rock and electronic music both. I think it's a touchy subject because anyone who has been a fan of electronic music through the years has been shot down and told that their taste in music is crap and isn't real music. When you bring that back up, people get defensive because they have heard it before. I know that I personally find the Anti-EDM thing to be more than annoying. I do take offense to it.
If I made a room called Anti-Rock or RockMusicSucks, wouldn't you solely rock music fans take offense? I wouldn't do that, obviously, because I too like rock music, but do you not understand why Anti-EDM is not cool? I have learned over the years... it is better so say that you don't care for a type of music than it is to say that you hate a certain genre or that it sucks. Sure, you are free to say it, but you WILL offend some people. That is the repercussion. Just as you are free to say whatever you want, others are free to change their opinion of you based on what you say.
And thank you Chaostika and Nymphpott for making me laugh. You two win this thread for sure.
The main issue is Doc goes against the establishment and that seems to be a no no ...if your not with them on every aspect your against them on every aspect ....all that's wanted is some balance which no matter what anyone tells you is not there ....

Hello ladies and gentlemen, can't talk much as I'm at work but I've been reading over these past few posts and want to reply to somethings.
1. In my opinion what Achilles has done and this is no way in a biased way I would say this even if I was not a DJ. He has done a lot and I still remember him and myself scrambling back in January to get the server up and running because RadioTunes pulled the plug on their public streams. Granted some of the music may not be the best it was rushed as we had to get a lot of music in a couple hours and it was difficult. We both spent the entire night getting it all sorted until like 9am the following morning! But I do not believe asking him to step down is the right course of action. He has said there is going to be a more fair approach to recruiting DJs. So bare with it and see what is said. I am sure it will be good!
2. All the DJs do this on our own will to entertain you guys to spend a lot of money to get music for you guys to enjoy and listen to. And as I said above, some music may not be the best, but rather than calling it rubbish or sub-par give us feedback on stuff you'd like to hear. As the music is always subject to change. May cost a bit but we are happy to provide the service for you. And perhaps in future the developers may help pay some towards it when they are no longer busy with the 3dxchat 2.0 project but we shall see. But for now Achilles and the other DJs are happy to provide the music service. It may not be to everyones tastes but rather than bashing a specific genre of music. Give us feedback or some ideas.
I already have some ideas for Love Island for future. But we are always happy to entertain.3. The reason this has gotten so out of hand is because it was discussed in a public manner, with 2 sides of an arguement. It should of been kept in private in my opinion between DocQ and Achilles rather than posting it on the public forum for all to see as that will just cause problems due to many conflicting opinions. But for future anything like this arises please talk directly and be patient.

Also sorry for any spelling mistakes. I am still getting used to my new phone. I have given feedback till i'm blue in the face as have many others with no results so we are frustrated and frustration can lead to anger ....we have an issue with more effort being paid to the fresco club and it's music while the other rooms are left with sub par cover songs to listen too other than dj trena in the sin club and telling a person they need to stay in private rooms because they have no appreciation for music is a total slap in the face and unfounded ....if anything Doc has more appreciation for music than the staff of dj's combined but is attacked because he doesn't like one certain genre of music ....that genre being the one that most dj's on the staff play and like ....just wanting some balance and Doc has offered to help balance the field a little ...but it's turned into a battle of wills instead of working for a solution and trying to establish some common ground ....seems the stand has been taken if you don't like edm your the enemy .....

I agree and what's why I didn't mention the anti-edm room. when I said there is bias maybe I am completely off base, probably am. People probably think that because when I hear that people want to become official and fit the criteria of being legal etc and then you walk into a public area and there isn't a live DJ, I wonder why? And I am talking in general here
The whole point behind this is Doc is anti edm so he is being black balled and called a trouble maker ...if he was pro edm i'm willing to bet he would already be a public dj ....this whole selection process is biased and as long as the same people are in control it will never change ....

I know Doc very well and have done for a long time.
He is one person in here I am happy to give a character reference to.
I can say this, anything he has said about EDM music would not be meant to be a reflection on the people that play it or listen to it, it would be a statement as to what he thinks of that type of music.
He believes that the best music is the way it is written and performed by the original artist and I feel anyone should be entitled to voice their opinion on that.
Should it be voiced in front of a public DJ booth while playing his music, well that is not my decision and I don't think I should even give an opinion on that.
Surely though if that is what is preventing him from obtaining a DJ spot it can be worked out, a simple yes you can but we do not allow slagging of other genres while performing would be all that is needed.
It is evident from the amount of people that have come in this post and said they like his style and should be given a spot, that he has enough support and recognition to expect at least a chance.
I myself would love to see him DJ in a public area and I think he would not only do a great job and be good for 3DX, he would also work hard with you guys and be very active with his DJing.
I don't know exactly what happened to have it so he was not considered in the 1st place but as I know both him and Achilles and their character, I would say that something has been blown out of proportion or miss understood somewhere.
I will say that I know with Doc I can disagree with him on things and have no problems, we respect each others opinion on it even if it is completely the opposite to the others.
Now if I go off what people say about me in these forums then that alone would make him pretty special, lol
What I like about his DJing isn't so much his music, at venues I do actually prefer EDM, I am use to that sort of mood music to dance to in rl.
I do also like to listen to music the way it was originally done by the original artist and when I do a dance routine it is normally to that type of music.
The thing I like about Docs DJing that from what I have seen in 3DX that I think he does better than anyone else, is he entertains around his music with clever humour and other things done to add to the show.
Now some have said they do not like that type of thing, but a lot do and they are the ones coming in here supporting him.
Achilles I hope you will take note of all the people that chose to do that, come in here in support of Doc, and at least talk to him to see what his intentions are.
I think you will be surprised with his passion for music and what those intentions are and the reason he wants to do it, it is not for popularity like people seem to be suggesting.
Now I hope I haven't ruffled any feathers, it is not my intention, I am just trying to help clear this up.
And I would still like to see some good tease poses added.
Well said they are taking it as a personal attack on them instead of the fact he doesn't play or like a genre of music ... I hate the stuff and consider it an insult to real musicians but that doesn't mean I wanna shoot anyone or everyone that plays it .....Geez people grow up and get a grip ....

I have plenty of friends and know they support my feelings about my music and don't attack me just because we have different tastes ....you don't seem to get it we were complaining about the music not the ones playing it ....but it's obvious you have the same misguided thought process as Achilles so it's a personal attack on you lol no wonder this game is in the state it's in ....

They may be 2 separate issues Doc, but it also shows your lack of passion for music in general. To crusade against an entire genre of music because you dont "like" it while we are all surrounded by it on a daily basis is a very close minded. There are genres of music that I do not like. There are also lots of sub genres of EDM that I don't care for. I really don't like trance and hardstyle. But I also recognize and respect that other people do, and I will always support those DJs that play this music. Same as I will support any DJ who has a goal of entertaining people. This can be a win-win for all, but when you try to make it into a competition or make people feel like they are inadequate, you can't expect them to support you.
Also like Nikki said... Your application and your issues with Achilles has nothing to do with the rest of us and what we do to entertain people. You and Hannah are not making many friends.

When you support and host parties like: Anti-EDM... it kind of shows your thought process, whether intentional or not... actions speak louder than words. I agree with Achilles on this topic and personally, i myself do not want anyone with this attitude as part of official DJ team. We should help and support one another, not spit in someone else's face because their interests don't match up to yours.
you mean spit in someone's face like your doing Doc;s because his interests don't match yours .... and who made you judge,jury and executioner???Oh that's right Achilles did dare I forget ....I've been to places when you Dj and to be honest Doc is a far better DJ than you could hope too be ...and that's not just my opinion ....

This sense of entitlement cracks me up. The developers offer radio, the DJ's offer entertainment. You don't pay for that. I have DJ'd and still do other places from time to time. The cost, I am not going to go into specific detail, but base in many cases, such as my own is 10.00 USD per month for a server which does not include the cost of music. Because I like live request, doing so I like to subscribe to a content service to save money and be able to get the songs I need. That is another monthly fee. I am not going to assume the charges that the official DJs incur. It is none of my business. However, it is a choice, they do it for the community and love of music. They pay their monthly fee like everyone else. So by the argument, "I pay like everyone else" should the monthly fee be raised to equal the costs of what DJs pay? No.It is an added bonus and you chooe to listen or not.
Your obviously part of the clique but say what you will ....your still missing the point .yes I agree that it is a bonus and the dj's don't get paid for what they do ...my argument is a dj that follows the rules and meets the requirements should not be looked over and personally attacked because they don't play what Achilles thinks they should play ....Doc deserves a chance just as any of the others that are doing it now ...or are they afraid he will do a much better job than what is currently being done ....the only DJ I see that is any good is DJ Trena ....the rest not so much .....

We all KNOW exactly what "Anti" means. Its not a language barrier issue. I have not heard a single EDM DJ here EVER bash any other music types. However, the hardcore rock crowd is always very vocal about how they think rock is the only REAL music. I happen to like most all music. I don't really care for country, but i am not on a crusade to destroy it simply because I don't enjoy it. I recognize the face that millions of people DO enjoy it. Like Achilles said... each genre of music is its own art form. This fact is not dependent on your acceptance.
Also too many people confuse what "freedom of speech" really means. Freedom of speech does not mean you get to say whatever you want without repercussion. It simply means you cannot be arrested, detained,jailed, etc by the government for stating your opinion. If you want to test this theory... go to work and tell you boss to get fucked and see how that works out for you. You can also READ the constitution because its clearly stated what freedom of speech is.
We are vocal because we are the ones being screwed i'm willing to bet you 80% of the current line up of DJ'S are EDM and club mix DJ'S ....they are playing in the majority of the public places ....those who don't like or want to hear said music are told to listen to their own or go to a private room where the genre they like is being played. Please explain how that is a fair practice...Yes I don't like EDM or club mix music at all ...that being said do I not deserve the same consideration that the EDM fans get or are we a second class part of this community ??? and I use the word community considering that's what this game was meant to be but has been lost along the way ..I have made harsh comments about EDM and I was wrong to approach things that way ....I think we just need some balance so this is a community as it was meant too be
