SeleneDeVeros got a reaction from SashaFoxy in Collision Detection fixes?
I rather enjoy building on 3DX, but my goodness if it doesn't feel like pulling teeth sometimes with how the collision detection seems to be handled. I think by now everyone is well aware of the spheres as the worst offenders, generating a disproportionate collider to the physical mesh. The amount of objects that are pretty much unusable for some purposes due to wonky hitboxes is absurd. Just recently I tried to make stepping stones out of the hexagonal blocks, quite a nice shape for it... and completely impossible to use for the purpose because a few pixel-high hexagon is completely unable to be stepped on, might as well be an invisible wall

SeleneDeVeros got a reaction from Angelqueen in Pleasure Peaks Mall (shop-owners needed!)
    Welcome to Pleasure Peaks Mall!
Pleasure Peaks Mall is an RP room that is focused around the idea of community involvement. Rather than make every single shop in the mall myself, I wanted to leave it more open to the community, giving people a chance to build their own shops. In keeping with the community aspect, there is a discord server for the room available here. The room will be open as often as possible on my alt (ArtoriusMaxwell) and much of the relevant information will be in his profile. Since I have started working again, I can't be at my computer all the time and Discord is the best way to reach me, as I am able to check in via mobile during my breaks. For those that signed up for a shop previously, if you are still interested in this project, let me know.

How does the "Build my own shop work?"
Every shop space in the mall has its own .world file that can be downloaded from a specific channel on the discord (Channel is hidden without certain roles). It is very important not to alter the footprint of the shop space so it can be imported properly into the mall. Add in anything/everything you need to make your shop the way you want it. When it's done, send me the completed file and I can delete the placeholder shop and merge in your completed shop.

How do I know if someone else already had the same idea for a shop?
The discord has a directory channel outlining who has claimed spaces and what kind of shop it is, as well as a name (if known).

What if I want to help but don't want to own or build a shop?
There will be other roles available, like security guards, maintenance staff, and janitorial staff. Also store-owners may need employees.
For those that remember this project, cool! I'm bringing it back and I have added a few new things to the mall. There are now restrooms! There is also a business office (where Art will RP out any business dealing as needed with store-owners and a security office for mall security.

Well, here are a few things I'd like to add in terms of RP tips:
-As others have mentioned, there's a difference between what your character knows and what you know. If I were in a very large city room and was seated inside one building, I am not going to be able to see or hear events happening in another building across town.
-Try to be clear in separating between actions, dialogue, and OOC comments. Most people use /me for actions and normal white text for dialogue. I've seen a few different formats used for OOC comments, most using some form of parenthesis, like so:
    (This is OOC)
    ((This is also OOC))
    and this is also OOC))
-No one likes someone who does god-mode RP. Examples of this are miraculously coming up with ridiculous and unbelievable ways of avoiding being stopped/damaged, knowing and reacting to things there is no IC way of knowing about, and essentially just being an "I always win" type. If you try to jump a girl in a dark alley and she pulls a taser out of her purse, don't go claiming that you have some kind of rubber suit on under your clothes that makes you immune to it.
-Very intense, dramatic scenarios should be done sparingly. A very intense and dramatic event can be a good way to pull people into a story, but done too often it can become tiring and suck the fun out of things
