Whew, that's a doozy that one.. ^.^
We have this quote on our website thusly "Join the world where all your secret desires come true, where you can be anyone and where you can do anything you want." Soo.. to me, that sounds like the choice is yours to make.
Naturally actions beget consequences whichever you choose, and some people have strong beliefs on the subject.. Whoever you decide to be, you should have a healthy respect for everyone else.
Personally I'm very easy going and carefree with this sort of thing.. but I'm bi, sooo... that probably makes it easy for me.
