Good afternoon, I'm new to the game and added a new avatar. Now I can't find the avatar I was using before. Did I first have to save it before adding a new one?

I have added a new avatar to the game. Did I have to save my former avatar first before I added the new avatar? Or can I load my former avatar somewhere? Hope to hear from someone what the solution can be.
