    I haven't seen a reasonable reply yet. But, it turns out that the game will initiate an animation when the person proposes to you. This means, you cannot have another animation going at the same time. In other words, the two of you should just be standing close to each other. When the option to propose is selected, the animation will begin.

    Since someone pointed out there was a toilet buried there, the obvious question is "Can it be used?"
