I like the shorter version better. It's easier to remember and doesn't use as many $0.75 words.
But I agree. Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone accepted everyone else as individuals worthy of their own thoughts and feelings and beliefs, rather than being so conceited as to believe they know better than everyone else and so everyone should follow the same path they do? And my god, wouldn't the world be a horribly mundane and boring place if we...

I would indeed. A world like that would naturally encourage so much good, and allow free, scientific thinking to flourish Learning to appreciate what others believe is beautiful or find inspiring, teaches as much about ourselves and human nature as it does either the relevant subject matter or person(s).
