Oculus Vs Valve Index support

I have been using 3dx for a while now with Oculus Rift,   running great.   I loved it.   One of the most immersive things available.

But, then, I upgraded to the Valve Index,  and there is no option for VR..   So..  I took to Google,  and found that some people got the Vive working using Revive.   I followed what they said, but,  I still get nothing on the option to turn it on,  on the Menu Options screen,  it's greyed out.  The stroker is an option, but, I don't have that..  It just says "oculus"  and I can't check that box.

I've installed Occulus,   Steam,  Revive,  Viveport,  all are running,  I've even adjusted the shortcut to inject Revive,  I've tried opening 3dxchat with Revive,  but..  still nothing..

Any suggestions?   I'd hate to upgrade, all for nothing.   😞

Still waiting for a response..   I've been a member a long time,   and the only VR support is from 3 years ago?     What kind of a shit show is this?   Even Apple is getting into VR AR.

FYI,   anyone who is sick of this as I am..     try Virt-A-Mate.    it's getting close to this, and getting better.     and they support the future.

As a fellow VR user I do think the VR support is lacking even the implementation on the Oculus is clunky in my opinion.

But I imagine the player base that even use VR here is very minimal so therefore as I'm pretty sure they are not a large dev team they do not have the infinite resources to do everything for everyone and I'm cool with that.

At this current time even more so it is far from a priority, but if you really want a response you'd be better off contacting support rather than posting here, I dare say that they have not even had chance to read your post here.

Good luck and I hope you get your solution!

Yeah... very clunky..  especially in light of the fact that VR is really accelerating right now.   A lot of people are getting on it..  and Virt-A-Mate has a lot of patreons who are helping make that better..  with the things the users want.    I'm having a hard time believing that people who spend 20$ a month for 3dx want the ability to add Dr.Seuss hats.. to their sexy avatars.    Let's not forget the point of 3dxchat..  it's high end graphics, smooth animations, customizable,  in 3d.   that is the core of the whole thing.    New environments are "ok"  but..  we didn't come here for that..  let's get real.    We can here for sexy charcaters doing sexy things.. in an imaginary world.       There needs to be way more focus on positions,   and sexy stuff.    If you're not into that.. then there is 10000's of other programs to play with..  go do Minecraft..

I have contacted the staff..  I've even offered an investment..  so I can help grow the product base.  I own a few promotional site in a similar space, so I think I could help, plus,  I can make some money off of it.   As long as the dev team focuses on the original reason why they started building it..  and the original reason why people come.    I know it's easy to loose focus in projects..  and it's easy to get distracted.

VR base is growing..   and there are competitors who are coming.   3dxChat had lead,  and they are loosing it..  while making Santa Outfits..

VR is the future..  and the base might be small..  probably cause it sucks so much on here..   It's easy to get lost and sick in it.   not to mention only for occulus.  But not the new occulus.  Only the 3 year old occulus headset.   Not Vive,  not HTC..  nothing.

I know this is true, as I've talked to other memebers on the Discord for Virt-a-mate..   which is still inferior to 3dxchat..   they are now switching over.    Sad....
