First of all, nothing about this discussion has anything to do with political correctness.

 

Second, again, no one is militantly demanding that everyone MUST be honest about their true identity in this game. The point is that it's not cool to lie to people, so maybe think about that before you lie about your identity. People have gotten catfished here many times. I got catfished on here once. I didn't get torn up over it, but it did kinda shock me. This is a game based on intercourse, therefore it has the potential to affect people emotionally. So maybe don't do something that could end up hurting other players. I really don't see why people seem to have a problem with suggesting "Hey, think about what you're doing, because you might end up fucking with somebody's emotions."

 

Does that mean that NOBODY should be allowed to play as a different gender? No. Does that mean that we're gonna chase down people who do with pitchforks and torches? No. Does that mean that we need to be CERTAIN that we're fucking a person of the gender they're playing as? No. 

 

But knowing that it can mess with people and ruin their enjoyment of the game, should some people choosing to lie about their identity maybe reconsider? Should those people maybe be honest about playing as a different gender in their profiles? Yeah, they probably should. And a lot of them already do! And I always reach out and thank them when I see them, and am super nice to them.

 

Just be excellent to each other. That's all.

Except, your in an environment you KNOW you will be lied to in. Regardless of whether it's cool or not, it IS going to happen, yet as you stated people are shocked. I'm not sure how people can claim, "they didn't know what they were getting into". As I have stated, and Robonce stated, you have to accept what the environment is, or YES you will be hurt by someone at some point.

I don't condone people lieing but if you know it's going to happen and you engage anyway and are then shocked and hurt, you kind of played a role in your own demise.

This would not violate any privacy law in any country because it's a voluntary choice for people to chose to do and as long as they agree to it with the understanding that the pic will be used as the profile pic, there is no liability against the owners/creators of the game. But I admire Gelda's comment very much. 

Oh sorry I read that wrong...however I still doubt this will be implemented. They haven't made any substantial changes in ages. Why would they start now?

In all honesty,  do you really "want" this implemented.   Hear me out ......

3DX is a "Platform"  because lets be honest it really ISN'T  a "Game".  It is a social networking platform with a high emphasis on "FANTASY" sex.   The problem that occurs with us all is defining our perception of what "FANTASY"  is.   For many it is simply logging in as themselves to have an interaction with someone they don't know.  To others that fantasy is much more extreme,  role-playing "completely" another gender. 

The point is ... it's still fantasy and that is what the "PLATFORM" is designed for,  or as pointed out,  there would be safeguards to protect and prevent that type of action.  We can have our opinions, morals and ethical compasses what we SHOULDN'T do is make judgments of how others CHOOSE to play their fantasy.   I know some of you argue that THEIR fantasy impacts YOUR fantasy  and that's 100% true.   That is why I have said in the past,  if you can't accept this environment for what it IS  then you probably shouldn't play here.   People seem to take that as a "Well then get the fuck out of the game"   that is not at all how I intend it.   I am simply saying if you KNOW you will be so extremely bothered by some forms of peoples expressed fantasies,  have some self preservation and don't put yourself in the situation to be hurt.   There are, after-all many many other means of expressing fantasies that save you the trouble. 

In short..      you HAVE to be able to accept 3DX for what it is.   Yeah your probably going to get duped at some point,  yes it has happen to me,  it will likely happen again.  Yes sometimes its disappointing,  but I knew it was a possibility and I accept the environment for what it is, move past that and on to better people.  In some cases,  I have found very good friends whom I know are misrepresenting themselves and I'm ok with that,  because I know it is THEIR fantasy.  There are LOTS of good people here,  its just a matter of finding the ones that share your perceptions of what the fantasy is.  

Few have the ability to put themselves in to the shoes of another person and consider their position. Be brave,  try it,  you don't have to agree with it,  but it may open your eyes to another perspective. 

 

My suggestion I'm sure will raise the ire of some people so let me say now, have at it I don't care, but I would like the developers, creators, game Gods to consider is adding a verified account functionality for people who wish to be honest, have no fears or don't wish to play this game at the expense of others. The concept of course would be for a subscriber to submit a picture of themselves holding some version of a sign with their avatar name on it and something to the effect "I love 3dxchat" where the profile accounts would include the users real gender and the verified pic as the profile pic. Yes I can feel the huffing and puffing behind the monitors now. I'm not recommending this as a mandatory requirement for people to do but an incentive for those people who wish to not hide behind secrecy, lies and pretending in the name of "it's just a game", "it's my fantasy" or "I want to get in touch with my feminine side" your men for Christ sake. What would be the incentive to do this, how about a daily return of 3000 gold instead of the measly 300 we are so graciously given now like beggars on the street. The hope here is doing this might break the stigma of people hurting other people without any regard for the person sitting at the keyboard and mouse across from them because although there is not true physical connection, the emotional and mental connections can very deep and very real for someone. Let the cannons fire across the bow.

 

No to mention  tech's  who can very easily PS  anything into a picture that's nearly undetectable.  I know I could easily do that ...   pictures aren't a solid verification over the web.  Neither is voice,   although it generally confirms gender.   Video chat / Cam is about the only "SURE" method.

He won that too, in this case the electoral college only played a roll in showing the leader through out, unlike the previous Clinton Election where Bush actually won the popular vote but lost to the Electoral College vote. The election of Trump was a protest, just as Brexit was in the UK. The credit crunch of 2008 reflected the flaws in our political elite putting the process of policy making in the hands of market forces and the bankers. We are all still paying the price for this decision, made by leaders devoid of any real ideology, direction and vision. And when the bankers royally fucked up eight years ago, instead of being jailed for their crimes, they were given trillions of dollars - taken from tax payers - and told to go do it all over again. Austerity hasn't bitten them has it? Still the same financial institutions at the helm and still the same political hegemony. And still people like you and I paying the price. Farage (brexit) and Trump cleverly attached their ambitions to this feeling that something has to change, that those responsible for a failed economy and a failed political process had to be made accountable. The 'what happens now?' is scary, but the reasons why voters in the UK and US finally took a stance against the status quo are totally understandable.

 

To quote Tony Blair, which is apt considering his role in the new world order post 9/11: '“The kaleidoscope has been shaken. The pieces are in flux. Soon they will settle again. Before they do, let us re-order the world.”

While I think there is a bit more to it then just that, I cant say I disagree either.

Not that I want to get involved in crazy political debates, but Trump is on record as saying that he will select a new Supreme Court Justice with the intention of overturning Roe v. Wade. So that "process to decide that legally" could easily come to pass now. Abortion is already extremely difficult to actually obtain in many southern states.

I'm just glad I live in Canada.

There is a lot more in the way of it then that. But it is only one issue. By way of example however it is why i did NOT vote for Joe Heck, because of his pro life choices and thankfully he lost, unfortunatly with the presidency there is awhole lot more at stake then just the one issue and not a good second choice.

America always has been, not sure I see the comparison. The government needs to follow the laws elected by the people and that has been greatly lacking in recent years. Case in point the lack of Hillary's removal / arrest for things others have been convicted and are serving life sentences for.

im not going to debate in this thread but i suggest you look up what Hillary has stated in the past. She is for a tougher stance in Syria, which means confrontation with the Russians so i would say she is just as apt to start a war as Trump. Everything you hear about anything to the contrary is a scare tactic. Last thing i say about it, not going to debate whos better because they both suck major ass and neither are fit to run the PTA, Much less a country
