Return after 2 years - bit sad :(

 So I came back on a couple of days ago after about 2 years for personal reasons (blah blah). And its kind of sad (just a little) to see a couple of things overal have changed, socially speaking more than anything. Is it just me I am wondering?

I started on this social platform (game, whatever) back in Jan 2015 and the increase in abilities, poses and rooms etc has been a welcome increase (though I still miss the thrill of wall breaking the beach and going into the world beyond) but after this two year gap I see two things I think...

One is that the social dynamics seem a little more heavy towards fantasy/fiction and less 'real' players. Some are still around, just seems a lot less now after 2 years for me. We all play how we desire of course, and I love that. But for the more Vanilla bores and whores it means a lot less social interaction and I don't really feel inclined to dorn myself as an oversized dong slinger called Eyup Yercrak or Willy2big4u etc just to get attention. Hope that makes non-offensive sense

 

The other thing is simply that it seems a lot quieter now sadly. Only one person on my friends list seems to still be playing. But two years ago there were some crazy creative rooms and games and what seems like double the amount of homemade rooms to visit compared to now. Has the likes of VRchat robbed 3dxchat of visitors? Has certain mods been taken away making people seek alternative platforms to play with I wonder?

A person have pm me few days ago with a BBC tag name. After I have told him, that I'm not looking for sex, he said..no, no wait I have another avatar, a male one also. I asked him, why does he need 2 male avatars. And he said something like ''It's easier to start contacts with this one as with the ''normal''..one'' It's a porn game on the end, most of the people consider this game as only this, that's all what they are here for. I also see a lot of people with profiles ''NO real life...''  By this I think to myself..then what in the whole world do you think should catch my attention towards another person here if not getting to know the person behind the avatar? Cloned avatar? In game hairstyle..? or endless chit chat? If there gives nothing more to say as talking about the weather and 3xd world, there gives many who talk 1h and yet they don't say anything. Such conversations, contacts will be superficial, boring, meaningless at least to me. Also the company who runs 3DX, promote this game as a porn game. Also almost all development in the game is focused around new sex poses & fashion, surely this game has the potential to be far more as that, but I think it will also take a lot of desire and development in social aspects - direction ...from SexGameDevil if this game want to get much stronger social aspects, in the opposite case, this will always depend if some people are willing to go here beyond bbc...sex stuff only or not.

"No RL" often means "No personal questions" or "No pics/voice/real life contacts". You still can talk about music, cinema, games, history, philosophy, art, cooking, gardening, fashion, 3d modelling or whatever theme you both find interesting and have a wholesome conversation, no?

Everyone has a different view. But otherwise no, people who are not able to talk about the real world, real life, which is often the  fundamental basis for meaningful conversations, then they are uninteresting to me. And that's by me the crucial point how I choose my friends here...

It's fun to chat with elves or dwarves in the game sometimes. The dwarves may suggest you try bitter ale / Summan. Be careful with the high elves, do not fall into slavery to them

Really. Also this person you talked with.. Know everyone in 3dxchat ? You know. Back when I smoked. I though everyone was smoking. Because everyone close to me did. Maybe he need new friends.

 

'most people' it a really big statement. Very tribal statement.

Eyyyyy .... it's been a few years myself and its nice to see some familiar names in this thread. Debating coming back myself and dipping my tootsies into the pond once more now that the xmas sale is still there.
