Questions from an outsider

Hello, 3DXChat community. I'm a curious outsider. I've been observing this game since its very start. I've remained curious about it because I still think it's a good idea... in theory. I have a couple of questions to ask, if you don't mind.

- In your estimation, how many heterosexual women are actually playing this game? I'm not judging anyone or people's sexual preference.

- Do you play the game as yourself (of course an idealized version) or somebody completely different?

It's always nice to help out people that are interested in 3dxchat.

 

This is my take on your questions:

- I would guess about 30-40 % of players is female. Whether they are hetero, bi or lesbian is another thing.

- I do both. I play as myself and have another character I use for roleplay.

I believe it would be around 40% hetero/bi, 60% lesbian but keep in mind that this is from my experience. Players in your timezone may vary and really I can only guesstimate. There seems to be a small assortment of fantasy-characters but given the limited avatars, it's pretty much strictly modern world setting where people play "close to home", so to speak.

I play as myself and try to be as true to that as possible but some players do like to rp it heavily.

 

I think the community is surprisingly broad minded to different play styles and tastes so i think you are sure to find acceptance whatever your approach.

 

But to really know more join us. Many of us here will be more than happy to help you find your feet.

Around 30% of the females are real, with others you have to be curious if you care about that. Personally I don't care who is behind the avatar. Next thing is your playstyle. If you just want cold or instant sex with female avatars, you can find plenty of sex in game. If you like to build romantic type relationships with women, it would be hard to find one for it. Most of them are already having relationships, or you hit time / timezone issues, etc. But it's not impossible. Especially if you have plenty of time to hang around in-game.

I put that number at about 40 percent hetero female and real, and the rest or either lesbian, Bi or fake, meaning guys playing girls.....You just gotta be careful, but its still fun

the good thing about this is its for everyone, you can be yourself, you can be someone else, thats your choice, and no-one will judge

you'll find if your being yourself youll be drawn to others that are too, and vice-versa

personally i play the person i know best...myself

 

as for the fakes, yeah they are there, but they're so plain obvious to spot, if one hassles you, hit ignore and poof they're gone, carry on with your day

all in all its a great community and has grown alot since i first joined, theres a group for everyone

The first question is good

 

I think 10% of the players are female... Ok now maybe 15% But is this really important? Behind a Avatar is for me always a Human, Male or Female interest me not really.

I think so really know no one how much members female are in game!

I mean for a membership need no one send a request with picture and resume

 

I play in Game as myself, Achilles is only the name but isn't me ^^

Just for fun is a role play as another character always welcome

This number includes all types of sexual preference so the actual number of heterosexual females would at a guess be about 12%. But as Achilles said, some people don't care about what gender controls the avi, so hopefully you are one of those

Well...there's plenty of discussion about both your questions here if u snuffle about a bit but I think Lexii's numbers are prolly pretty close.

 

There's fakes and there's idiots...it's still the Internet lol...but there's some really amazing people here too and that's what it ends up being all about. There's good times but there can be bad...it will make you soar in the clouds and maybe bring you crashing down but hopefully not.

I agree with Lexii on the figure being actually around 20%, I have been here a while and I have to say 40% is a very optimistic estimation .

Thanks for the friendly responses. Looking through these forums I can see that this community is very welcoming   I'm trying to understand how people see and play the game and your replies have given me some good insight.

The percentages that you've given sound much better than what I was expecting. Last year I had an email exchange with Sex Game Devil and they declined to reveal the actual ratio of men to women leaving me think it was very lopsided.

That brings me to my main concern. As a straight man, having virtual sex with another man who is pretending to be a woman - this is the thing that I would find weird. I imagine there would be some sexting involved and I don't see how I could get into that at all. I'm not homophobic but I'm uncomfortable with that. I imagine it would be considered rude to just go up to people and ask them their true genders, right? It's not something I would do. I would get to know the person a little and there are things a woman will say that a man won't and if you pay attention you'll notice.

Interesting remark, Jeff. I kinda get where you are coming from, even though I don't necessarily agree with it. Allow me to explain myself.

 

To me personally, I am interacting with a 3D avatar, not with someone behind a keyboard, whenever I play 3dxchat. This makes it into an erotic and sometimes hilarious fantasy world. (Either that or 3dxchat is really popular with the black male demographic. )

 

If that person is able to roleplay their character well I don't really care if he or she is the same as the person typing in their words. I'm just happy to get our mutual sexual fantasy going and see where we end up. If they can't RP it usually become apparent very quickly, the illusion is broken and I move on.

 

Granted, a lot of players here play the game differently and expect people to "play themselves" when logging on. I guess it just depends on what you expect from the game.

 

I would just ask whenever someone seems interesting to you and you want to be sure. Most people -me included- will happily tell you if the character you are talking to is their "idealised me" or an alt.

@ Tanyatranny - I understand your point of view too. I do play some RPGs and I can find them immersive.

The thing is, there are plenty of singleplayer 3D sex games to play and videos to watch and then there's real porn. The difference, with multiplayer games, is that you're interacting with real people. Anyone can sit around and watch animations together but it's the interaction and exchange between the people involved that makes the difference. Artificial intelligence just isn't advanced enough to pull this off. So you need to find people who have similar likes to your own. And with a very small female ratio the odds look very much against me.

What would you guys and girls suggest to the developers to attract more female players to the game?

For both porn and porn games like this and 3DSexVilla I'm afraid you'll always deal with a public that is mostly male. That's not really an issue for a bi trans woman like me but I understand how It can be off-putting.
