TenaFoxxx
There is a lovely Haiku thread here but I wanted to open up our poetry to more than set stanza Haiku. I hope you all will share your poetry here. Two requests however. Share your own work., (or noteworthy poetry with credit given to the author,) And DO NOT bash any others poetry or ideas. Be upbeat and supportive here. Its a free form poetry place too. No rules of form other than your own creativity and feelings. I hope to see people here posting. We have amazing talent in this place.!! Wulf, Vaughan_Rarius, Aliviax and 1 other
Vaughan_Rarius
This is not my own work. It's by Anthony Dowson but far too beautiful and poignent not too share. In memory of my Da who recently passed. RIP. Remember Me. © Anthony Dowson Speak of me as you have always done.Remember the good times, laughter, and fun. Share the happy memories we've made.Do not let them wither or fade. I'll be with you in the summer's sunAnd when the winter's chill has come. I'll be the voice that whispers in the breeze.I'm peaceful now, put your mind at ease. I've rested my eyes and gone to sleep,But memories we've shared are yours to keep. Sometimes our final days may be a test,But remember me when I was at my best. Although things may not be the same,Don't be afraid to use my name. Let your sorrow last for just a while.Comfort each other and try to smile. I've lived a life filled with joy and fun.Live on now, make me proud of what you'll become. TenaFoxxx, Aliviax, Kaitlyn1989 and 1 other

TenaFoxxx
Shared originally by Susan Louisa in the Haiku thread. Online FriendsThere's a land where I go when I need to shareThat's not on a map, yet exists everywhere. There's names without faces, a curious placeA modern creation that's called cyber-spaceThere is all sorts of people with cute little namesLike Pookie, and Sandman and Rosebud and Flames. Some are just snobs and some are real funAnd some of them just want to find someone. The good and the bad ones, they all play a role.Still each one unique, but part of the whole. We talk and we laugh and wonder "Why?".We giggle, we hug, and sometimes we cry.We can not be heard and can not be seen.Yet, there it all is, right there on our screen. But look deeper still -- the most curious partIs the power it has to open our heart. To share with a stranger those things we've concealed,Which to our closest of friends we'd never reveal. Our deepest regrets and most troubling fearsThe scars in our life which bring us to tears. What gives them the power to reach into meAnd show me the truths that I never see. This must have been planned by a god from above. There's no place on earth giving this type of love. When we need some direction we know we can findA friendship to nurture just waiting online.Author: unknown Aliviax

Then the angle of the tale, was seen through his artists eye.He saw each shape, each decorative pearlNot one thing slipped him by. Each gentle swell of her body's shapeEach curve of her lovely spineThe color of her almond shaped eyesHer lips soft, and so divineSo carefully arrayed for his PhotographYet so much more there to be seenHer lips, her cheeks, her lovely mouthHer eyes such a deep emerald green. Her long lustrous hair, soft auburn in curlsFlowing downward, a curtain of silkHer delicate blush, upon cheeks of pale hueLike creamy delicious honeyed milk Her demeanor a shy, yet winsome lassA mysterious glance his wayIn that one instant, from her eyes,It took his breathe away "Not fully innocent, yet so shyHer gaze, it said to me.""This is who I am, how I am nowNaked, for the world to see." TenaFoxxx
You raped more than my body, Mr BlackYou raped my innocence,My Trust. You took more than my future that dayYou stole it with every thrust You warped my point of viewYou made things all seem wrongYou stalked me everywhere,No where was I safeNot even in my dreams, your rape of me that strong Horrors, and nightmares followedHaunting me day and nightI did not surrender willinglyBut with all that fear I could not fight How could a nine year old child,Understand your depth of perversion? How could that baby girlFind peace after your delusion? Vaughan_Rarius
To Her. My Da always said to me:“Son, find yourself a girl who’s nice and mild who’ll stay at home with my grandchild.Once you’ve found her, hold her tight and thank your lucky stars at night!” Now I love my Da (I cross my heart) but man, that girl’s a boring sort.To stay at home all day and night and wait upon her Mr. Right? No thanks, not her-at least for me. I want a girl who wants to see the 3dxchat world with me,and more besides!A girl who’s brave and never hidesher energy and passion.Who likes to be tied up,Kissed and teasedAnd made corrupt! In short- you love me, and I love you. While you’re a wonderful girlfriend- (it’s true)Let’s make the plunge! There’s no one else I wantfor virtual life’s wild ride, than you beside meas my awesome bride! Well I know you want a man who’s brave and boldand strong,Who’s handsome, with a heart of gold, but sadly, he’s not me – or so I’m told! I know you want a man who’s smart and wise and clever,Who’s quick and witty, with dancing eyes-but sadly, he’s not me – or so I’m told! So though I’m not a perfect man - winks - but you know that I am!I’m here, on bended knee. This question now my heart demands: BrandiWine - Will you marry me? Vaughan_Rarius
It's funny or perculiar I guess, to people who dont know or understand or not experienced it, but the online bond between people can be strong and we do grieve for their passng. I saw this poem and it hit a cord with my Real Life losses but also with 2 online friends that I had spent good times with and have now passed on to the next world. I remember both with a fondness that though tinged with sadness at their calling to leave us, the memories thy leave will always make me smile, Coincidentally its both their birhdays this month of May. A Bourbon Toast to both. Salute! My Memory Library by © Sarah Blackstone Imagine if I was given one moment, just a single slice of my past.I could hold it close forever, and that moment would always last. I'd put the moment in a safe, within my heart's abode.I could open it when I wanted, and only I would know the code. I could choose a time of laughing,a time of happiness and fun.I could choose a time that tried methrough everything I've done. I sat and thought about what momentwould always make me smile. One that would always push meto walk that extra mile. If I'm feeling sad and low,if I'm struggling with what to do,I can go and open my little safeand watch my moment through. There are moments I can think ofthat would lift my spirits every time. The moments when you picked me up,when the road was hard to climb. For me to only pick one momentto cherish, save and keepis proving really difficult,as I've gathered up a heap! I've dug deep inside my heart, found the safe and looked insideThere was room for lots of moments;in fact, hundreds if I tried. I'm building my own little library, embedded in my heart, for all the moments spent with youbefore you had to part. I can open it up whenever I like, pick a moment and watch it through,My little library acts as a promiseI'll never ever forget you. AusWoody. Passed in April 2018 ShovelHead. Passed in May 2019. ☙𝔼𝕩❧
I do, he does, they laughs at us. The hate she loves with no regards, Can break a heart and hurt an ass. We hold a bottle of respect We can`t expect, we can suspect! Until the bottle drops and breaks the floor of hate, the floor of trust, the floor that saw a lot of farce. Guest
Seasons of Grief Shall I wither and fall like an autumn leaf, From this deep sorrow - from this painful grief? How can I go on or find a way to be strong? Will I ever again enjoy life's sweet song? Sometimes a warm memory sheds light in the dark And eases the pain like the song of a Meadow Lark. Then it flits away on silent wings and I'm alone; Hungering for more of the light it had shone. Shall grief's bitter cold sadness consume me, Like a winter storm on the vast angry sea? How can I fill the void and deep desperate need To replant my heart with hope's lovely seed? Then I look at a photo of your playful smiling face And for a moment I escape to a serene happy place; Remembering the laughter and all you would do, Cherishing the honest, caring, loving spirit of you. Shall spring's cheerful flowers bring life anew And allow me to forget the agony of missing you? Will spring's burst of new life bring fresh hope And teach my grieving soul how to cope? Sometimes I'll read a treasured card you had given me And each word's special meaning makes me see, The precious gift of love I was fortunate to receive, And I realize you'd never want to see me grieve. Shall summer's warm brilliant sun bring new light, And free my anguished mind of its terrible plight? Will its gentle breezes chase grief's dark clouds away, And show me a clear path towards a better day? When I visit the grave where you lie in eternal peace, I know that death and heaven brought you release; I try to envision your joy on that shore across the sea, And, until I join you, that'll have to be enough for me. For all the remaining seasons of my life on earth, There'll be days I'll miss your merriment and mirth, And sometimes I'll sadly long for all the yesterdays; Missing our chats and your gentle understanding ways. Yet, the lessons of kindness and love you taught me, And the good things in life you've helped me to see; Linger as lasting gifts that comfort and will sustain, Until I journey to that peaceful shore and see you again.
