She IS in my opinion one of the truly Great artists and performers of not only her early days but right up until she passed. She recorded and sang from her very soul.... and we could all feel it. The Queen of Soul may have passed on in body, but in SPIRT she lives on with her Rich Legacy of music and the torch she passed on to many younger women, lives on too, through them. Women such as Whitney Houston, Maria Cary, Mary J Blige, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Patti Labelle and many many others. She inspired people and moved them for five decades...... She will be sorely missed and greatly loved.
