Change your passwords.

Hey guys,

Just giving you a heads up. Cloudflare has had a major vulnerability and memory leak that gave way to data and such to possibly being accessed by hackers the past months. And has been found recently.

Make sure you change your passwords just to be safe on all things like Discord, here, the 3dxchat site itself and anything that use Cloudflare as a CDN that you're signed up to for service.

Just letting you guys know just in case. Its always best to be safe.

Dropbox was hacked a while back. Adobes history with security like Flash Player is not stellar.

Use a password manager like LastPass or 1Password. That will allow you to have a different password for every site, completely random. If someone does get your password then the first thing they will do is try it everywhere else.

Also enable two factor authentication everywhere. All major sites use it now. Google, Facebook, Amazon, Dropbox, iCloud, Steam, Discord. Don't use an important password on 3DX. Passwords here are emailed back to you in plain text when you forget the password. They shouldn't be and should give you a link to change it.

I have not been pOwned :P

My PC should be the modernest Video Player all over the world with around 1800 Video Players :D

My adobe was leaked as well along with some other sites, but luckily no hacks!

I change sequential my passwords with password manager :)

There was until now also nothing happen with my accounts!

I think it's a good choices for all services to change sequential the passwords!

I do also only in Forums or pages without too much private data use a password more as one time. Services with sensible data get a password like this: 01m6}Y)b}Q%j, this password have 80bits and it's improbable to get hacked :)

let me add the following:

while being an excellent resource for finding out if any of your accounts have been compromised by earlier hacks, https://haveibeenpwned.com/does not include the sites affected by the current cloudbleech issue.

A (growing) list of sites that may be affected by the new cloudflare leak can be found here:

pardon me if im wrong but even if the forums and game was hacked, that really isnt even that bad is it? Im pretty sure bt micro or whatever is the site that has our credit card info

on the one hand, some sites may have stored your cc data individually and on the other hand, knowing user credentials allows social engineering, like we see daily with those amazon seller accounts, that have been hijacked by hackers.

Not so speak about people reusing the same passwords for many sites. So if your password has been leaked along with some email address, chances are high that they end in a brute force dictionary to be used when trying username/password combinations.

I run a grep on the 22MB list on 3dxchat.com and 3dxforum.com. Both are on the list. So go change your passwords :)

From a story about Cloudbleed.

"He has also noted that the top award for Cloudflare's bug bounty program is a t-shirt."

(Companies like Google pay thousands)

Thank you Ash, for your concern and warning, however I received an email today from Matthew Prince, CEO of Cloudflare because I have several websites using their services. He stated that about 150 Cloudflare customer was affected, That's not a whole lot. He also added that none of my websites were among them. While changing passwords regularly is a wise thing, I think it would be great to know if Gizmo got any emails from the same that 3dxchat in any way has been affected or not.
