Well most time there quite a few people around mostly spread out across various rooms both public and user rooms. As for DJing Ash or Achilles probably their main area of expertise, they will probably leave a response so i will avoid that question. As for paying to play you pay subscription in whatever type of plan you picked, but i imagine it is not what you meant?

 

Imagine you were referring to the 10.000 to create avatars, right? Well have not made new avatar from a clean account before so can't say for sure, but believe first character you make is free, then from that time on you pay 10000 Xgold for each extra characters, or if you wish to delete and create another. This was something implemented i believe to prevent problems with alt abuse. That said if you log in even if its only for a minute or two you can earn up to 300Xgold(starting at 150) in game each day, so you will be able to purchase extra character without spending extra RL money.

You generally see quite a few in the public areas and in rooms. You never really see a totally dead place, except maybe the yacht and there is usually quite a few people around to talk to.

 

It is possible to live DJ. You broadcast to a stream from your DJ software, then that stream can be plugged into a radio in a room.

Yes, it is a subscription based game. You have to subscribe for at least one month in order to play it. As KimmyFox wrote above you don't need ingame currency to play, as the 1st ava is free.

Ingame you receive some ingame currency each day, with the amount increasing up to the max of 300 xgold/day. Ingame currency is used for:

- drinking beer (35 xgold)

- gifting other players (300 xgold)

- moving your own public room on top of the room list (300 xgold)

- marriage / divorce (10.000 xgold / 5.000 xgold)

- creating more avas (2 additional avas can be created) (10.000 xgold each for creation, not for the slot)

the activity of the community strongly depends on when you play. It is hard to give numbers, but usually you find plenty of people in the public areas plus more in public user rooms. Right now (12:45pm UTC) there are 70 people in total in public user rooms and about 70 people in public areas (rough estimation). From my experience it gets far more crowded in my evenings (7pm UTC).

 

This game does not offer an ingame mixing software. It does offer various ingame radio channels and also the possibility to stream from external sources (web radio or your own streaming service). So you can be a DJ by opening your own public room and stream your music ingame, using your own streaming service and mixing software. For DJing in public areas please refer to Achilles, who is afaik the one in charge there.

Think about what kind of char you making because you can't make a new if you don't like it, just if you pay a monthly sub amount of dollars. If you make a male char you have to be time-millionaire to get a girl, because nolifers make a big competition, or you just get some low quality fuckdolls in the orgy rooms. If you make a female char you have a bigger chance to get some girl, but you will lack of some poses, and most of the girls are males irl. Also speak some language and be patient about wandering around a lot to try to get someone who is willing to chat with you. Also beware if you have some inproper words people can ignore your whole account.

Why do you think you need to have a lot of time? I think that you can get a normal girl to talk to you if you are polite and normal to her. It's not rocket science really We are all different and that is what makes us unique

Then when you have purchased it you'll get an email receipt with your pre-paid code in and then you'll need to go to this page http://3dxchat.com/prepaid-account.htmlyou copy and paste your pre-paid code and the email account you got the code bought from and you'll get an email from 3dx confirming the creation of your account with a password. Then go to the members area and log in and download the client, do some patching then you can log in or change your password to what you want, then log in to the game.

Yes and no. I tend to chat to anybody if they say hi. Usually I can tell quickly if the chat will go on. Persistence pays as does personality. Shared interests too and good manners. And if you see Tips just tell her your fridge is stocked!!! Love you Tips! Some people actively say how they hate 'hi' as an intro and some state this will not illicit a response or even lead to going on their ignore list (a bit pompous in my opinion but oh well). Yeah it is a bit zzzzzzzzz as a greeting but I am always open for a chat.

I agree. Some people will say in their profile a simple hi won't cut it. I have always found that a bit ridiculous as most conversations start with a hello. It is not like you are jumping straight in the introduction of a thesis and need a grabber with some kind of joke or profound earth shifting quote. People will also say in their profiles, "absolutely no real life", whereas what they actually mean is that they will share more once they get to know you build up some trust. Oh, and the classic, "no colds" (people who invite or partner request without conversation), yet that seems pointless as colds probably don't read your profile anyway. So don't waste your profile with the negative put something positive and maybe something funny. That will help initiate conversation.

 

I would say the most active time is around 7pm to midnight European times. I am not on much later after that, but I do get the impression it slows over the next 8 hours or so as you mainly get the US and Canadians and maybe Aussies before they all start going to bed and then picks up again at 7pm European time.

 

For music streaming check out the following thread. There is info on how to stream in multiple different ways, locally, using something like Shoutcast or Icecast and even using a Mac.

i can't believe no one mentioned the controls O.O' 

F5 - free cam controll with WASD and Q E for up and down, push and hold Shift to move faster

Shift + Z and panic for a bit cos everything is gone from the screen things like chat window and the rest, push it again to get all back.

Shift + C will remove and add mouse pointer thingy(why it's an option i have no idea)

Shift + O is for Oculus Rift(that thingy that goes on your eyes and you see all in super puper HD or what ever, O - is for Oculus, smart! 

 

and the rest like right clicking on the name to get menu with profile and pm and all the rest i'm sure you find out already, also clicking on the text will auto copy it and things like Ctrl + C and V also works for copy and paste.

 

What else...ummmm...oh! to take screen shots and upload the pics to your profile you'll need to run 3DX as admin, the folder with screen shots will be created automatically when you'll take a first screen shot and will be saved in your 3DX directory.

 

i think i covered everything control vise, if i forgot anything then you'll find out about it yourself in time or by accident
