Kushiel Posted January 7, 2016 Share Posted January 7, 2016 It's already been discussed with lawyers and such, so it should not be a problem, due to it not being a profit inducing stream itself, but I am unsure on the final details at this time, I don't think it will be 24/7 streaming, it may be, it may not, but as the new streams are not related to 3DX in anyway nor is endorsed, it's more of a DJ Stream By DJs for DJs in a non-profit way. And may be used at certain times. But I do believe the radio system will need to be fixed and a new radio host found with multiple channels to choose from. Hopefully when the Devs get back from Vacation on 11th, stuff will all be sorted then. RegardsAsh Devs coming back from a 3 year vacation? TashaTight Posted January 11, 2016 Share Posted January 11, 2016 I am not surprised that Radiotune changed there licence. It must cost them a fortune in licences if they wanted to be legit. Third party streaming mean that this third party is making profit out of using there free streaming and that can be a mess licencing wise. Guess it really depend on how they go legally about it, if for instance 3DxChat claim that you pay subscription fee for their generated content and services. But not for radio streaming then technically they don't make a profit on that they can argue i suppose. Edit: Think i heard others sometime legally make work around like that or similar. Since in most cases radio is a manual function you have to activate i guess with exception of public zones that might use them, it be harder to argue its part their profit making as it would been a movie or a game that used it constantly as background music. Yup the radios are working again for people now. There is new channels running in the radio now for people. It doesn't affect the public locations as they are on a separate system.
