Still looking for Traktor Kontrol S8 mapping for VirtualDJ 8.

(I paid 299 USD for Pro Infinity software). :( :( :(

At least, I can nick some sound FX and I can do broadcasting the way I get used to.

With NI. I'm in crawling stage at this moment, hehehe

Every gears I have, were connected with this controller.

It was about a week to setup, tuning. Step by step.

And at last, Wow ^^

Yes Sweetheart this are Native Instruments have the WOW effect

and here all Infos http://www.native-instruments.com/de/community/

but S8 are so new not all information provided, but can also be found under youtube ;)

The VDJ8  i hate this are not my Favourite Tool NO NO NO

only NATIVE this Rocks :D

VDJ will do everything That Traktor will and then some. VDJ is actually a little more versatile and easier to use in my opinion . Everyone has their own preferences. Anyone using VDJ can do everything just as well as someone using Traktor. It's all in what you prefer. If you were to compare features side by side, you might even be surprised at how many advantages VDJ has over Traktor. VDJ suffered a bit when it 1st came out cause it lacked features and performance. Well VDJ is now much more than it used to be. It has somehow been labeled by the DJ community as "only for noobs" because of misinformed people. It's all in how you utilize the software, not necessarily which one you use. That being said... I will say that Traktor does look nicer and has a better layout, but skins alleviate that problem.

Sammy, in many cases, it can be either difficult but not impossible to use some software with some controllers. I have a friend in game right now that is somewhat struggling because he has a controller that is made for VDJ and he prefers Traktor. I would suggest doing some research as I am sure there are many people with your dilemma and in most cases I think it's something that you can find ways to work around. it will just take some proper research. Good luck to you.

Thank you dear, at least I can have my VDJ Pro Infinity (I paid for 299 USD) to work with my new controller.

There are many cool things in VDJ but still need new keymapper for my Traktor S8, I can wait :) :) :)

There are PRO & CON about Sorato, VDJ and Traktor software.

I both spent my time and money on them.

Serato & VDJ

Pro: Sorato & VDJ are bundled software for DJ controller (not mentioned to PRO level: I'm not going that far).

Pro: Sorato & VDJ are popular DJ software. There are majority of DJ users and forums.

Pro: Sorato & VDJ have easy to access GUI interface.

Con: Serato & VDJ that bundled with DJ controllers are Lite Version Software (need to purchase full version).

Con: Serato Software does not support any surface DJ Controller mapping.

Con: Serato & VDJ don't have many effect bundled with software, need to purchase from 3rd party or get download from user forum.

Traktor Scratch Pro

Pro: Full software is included with DJ controller. No overhead expense plus abundant Effect built-in.

Pro: Upgrading previous hardware version is possible to fit new software.

Con: German software is not easy to dealing with.

Con: Limit of worldwide users & forums.

About Traktor's Con. I can handle it. I get used to German software.

Like Coolux, Grand MA2 or dot2. They are quite complicate but perfect.

It's kind of learning curve but worth.

IMHO, I don't think VDJ or Serato can handle MP4 STEM File without optional software.

STEM is very cool bundle option from NI exclusively for S5 & S8.

It's quite interesting like you can play Fruity Loop from above consoles on the fly.

PS: Everyone can play the STEM file like normal but they can't squeeze other hidden 4 layers of streaming.

Except specified DJ who has software & machine support.

Cheers.

:D :D :D

I do my mixes without all that nifty stuff.

My controller is a logitech mouse and logitech keyboard.

I can still can keep up a good quality of transitions. I guess its allrite for a hobby not to spend several thousand dollars on :P

Also theres a saying: "A good DJ cant be judged based on the tools he use. The technique is important."

Honesty, I'm not professional DJ but I love to learn how to do.

My present DJ controller is the solution.

I can bring all music set feeding true my lighting console.

By trigger the music to my lighting program along with music tunes.

Also I can make the perfect Lighting Visualizer presentation.

The DJ controller cost was only 10-15% compared with my PC Lighting Console.

 Main Lighting Console is 30-50 times price tag ^^.

Also my DJ controller budget could only buy just one simple Clay Paky or Vari-Lite fixture.

That's the way I find the alternative gear for the better lighting presentation.

It works seamlessly either LTC or Sound to Light function.

I can make money from it. It's not kind of expensive hobby; for sure.

:):):)

PS. This is an idea about music & 3D lighting visualizer presentation.

And this is my PC Lighting console: MA on PC Command Wing + Fader Wing.

They are made by order product. Like you order a Ferrari Car ^^.

:):):)

Upcoming changes!

Hi, it's been a while since the last update but it's time to revamp the service for 2016! The main aim of the changes is to simplify the service, add new features and make changes to how listeners tune in by default.

We will be adding support for SHOUTcast v2 and Icecast in the coming weeks along with more detailed statistics and tools for broadcasters. We will be changing the hosted station pages and moving to a simpler system that defaults to opening the listener's own media player, this will ensure that it is compatible with the new server platforms that we are supporting.

Here are the answers to some questions you may have.
