Does anyone read profiles?

Hello everyone,

The profiles here are free-form and fairly basic, but there is still room to put relevant information, so I was wondering how many people look at a person's profile before messaging them or sending them an invitation of any sort?

In RLC, it was obvious that very few people did, even though the profiles there are far more detailed and hold far more information. I always look first and, to be honest, I'm looking as much for things I don't like as those I do on a person's profile, as this will determine whether I want to interact with this person.

I'd be interested to hear what other people do and think?

Of course, it gives you a head start when texting a stranger.
Or tells you who are you dealing with when receiving a message from a unknown person.
I try to maintain mine as best as I can, but I'm constantly fighting the size limit.

Nice to hear that someone else uses profiles too.

I agree with the comment about the size restrictions. I think profiles are one area that needs improvement and expansion.  The profiles in RLC have a counter that shows how many times your profile has been viewed. It would be nice to have that here too.

Hi,

I always read the profile of someone, especially if this person writes to me first. For me, the profile is important to decide if I answer or not. If I see something I don’t like, I will not reply. Even if profiles are simple here (Yes they could be better!), small things can change my first impression a lot.
