Julilla Posted June 1, 2025 Posted June 1, 2025 I have one room that has a nice message set to repeat every hour. All great, so far. I share the room "To All" and it works perfectly. But them I changed my mind and wanted to remove the message. To no avail. I empty the message in the CONTROL BOX, hit "Apply", but there it is, punctual on every hour like a Swiss clock that just won't die, LOL. I tried again and I keep getting the message. Are Swiss clocks THAT good, lol? Then it got worse. I created a second room, unrelated to the first one, shared it, and --- OMG, the message of the first room shows up, confusing visitors cause one room is a small wooden catamaran fuckboat (yeah, you read that right, bite me), and the other room is set in Berlin, 1938, a year before WW2 and it is a gala ball room, completely unrelated, of course. Any help?
Julilla Posted June 5, 2025 Author Posted June 5, 2025 It might be that the developers at 3DX are linking the Room Control Box to a user, rather than to a room. I have a message that explains something about the catamaran boat I made. Now, when I open and share another file with a castle in the mountains (no boats there), I still get the messages about the boat instructions. Pretty dumb, lol... Especially since the room name change takes effect immediately.
PiperLynch Posted June 27, 2025 Posted June 27, 2025 i had this issue also, but accidentally stumbled upon a fix: the next time you go to the room, don't give it a greeting -- just leave it blank -- then update the room. the annoying greeting is gone. granted it may be putting a blank, i have not observed that though, but there are no words nor multiple lines announcing every 1/2 hour, hour, or whatever.
