Vegasguy Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I know that 3dxchat has support for VR. Thank you Gizmo for implementing it. The thing is, you need 4 hands to use it. Say for example you get the oculus controllers binded which is a nightmare in itself, then how do you type, with the controller, pointing at a keyboard? I have a much cleaner solution. You already have the headset working great. Now bind both controllers, but heres where the typing problem is solved. I know you have been in I think they call it big room or big theatre or something on meta. Well when you enter the room, you have your avatar, and when you want to talk, you press one of the buttons! Also the Meta/Oculus can detect were your arms are placed, maybe add that, its already in the hardware. What are your thoughts? Vegas erosmost 1
TonyFrx Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Hello, I use VR with a Meta Quest3. I don't use the controllers but the mouse to move and orient the camera as in normal mode. I exit first person mode by pressing F6. For the chat, I double tap on the headset to be in camera mode so that I can see my keyboard. The UI often interferes with the view, to move it just place the pointer where you want it to be and press the space bar. This is how I use VR mode, I hope this will help you while waiting for an improvement in VR mode. erosmost 1
