Fixed Room Music Genres

I wonder if the devs could provide guidance: There is currently an argument raging in Sin Club that guest DJs MUST stick to a specific genre of music. I frequent Sin Club almost exclusively and guest DJs will solicit requests from players for songs to play. Certain individuals have taken exception to some of the requests played on the basis that the requests don’t follow ‘the rules’ on what is allowed to be played in Sin Club. Can guest DJs play what players ask for regardless of genre??

If there are rules, where are they? And if the rules state that only a specific genre can be played, even when a player requests a song, why?

Sin is Rock and should stay Rock, not be a mix of House Techno Country and Disco. But i don´t know what kind of request you had.

being a DJ on the game I think that if they accept requests but are in a rock room if the song requested is not rock they should ask if there is a alternative that they could play that is rock. but that requires the dj to research genre of the request or preview song.
unfortunately not everyone is willing to do that extra step.

so Unless there is a Defined set of rules for the room by the establishment then requests I believe are acceptable and anything can be played.

If there is a set of defined rules the DJ needs to be told these rules before they dj the room.
