Downloaded game but will not install

Greetings, 

I kept getting errors loading the game and now I cannot load it anymore. Per your suggestion I uninstalled the game and tried to reinstall.

For some reason file: 3DXChat.exe does not run. Double clicking, selecting open file nothing works to reinstall the game.

Please advise

Try running as Administrator, temporarily disable Firewall and Antivirus or create exceptions for the main game files.

Hi Cat,

Yes tried that too. does not give me the option to run as admin.

Right now the zip file is sitting in my download folder. Disabled firewall. Double clicking, selecting open file no reaction from computer.

Very weird because I was running the game fine this weekend but then after a patch I could no longer access the game and had to reinstall.

Other suggestions?

if you get an error during installation, try installing the game in a different folder. If the computer has a different hard drive, try installing the game on the other hard drive.

If you uninstalled the game, it's possible that the old shortcut remained on the desktop. If you launch it with this shortcut, it is normal that it cannot find the game. You must launch 3DXChat.exe directly from the 3DXChat directory. It's just a suggestion but it worked for me.

Thank you both. Managed to load it after halting all AntiVirus activity, redownloading and unzipping to a new folder. Seems to work.. just no shortcut right away.
