You are talking a out oranges when we are talking about apples. Gizmo madecit clear that basic updates and poses etc. Wouldn't be an extra cost. User to user transfers are not the same thing. Just as the tools for clothing customization coming will be free like the WE is. But can what is created be saved and 'sold' like .world files can be? That remains to be learned.

Last count there were 2003 people who wanted xGold transfer and not everyone bothers with forum or discord.. It is a very complicated system to introduce and requires a lot of security built in. It would take quite a bit of time. Months to years. I've already seen how difficult it is once to create.

And yes, I am certain eventually it will be added. They wouldn't have brought it up if it wasn't being considered.

Well, we'll see if it will be added in game. I honestly very much doubt so because it's already 1.5 years since that poll and I heard that they already were adding xgold transfer before and then closed it. So devs basically already know how to do it – yet did not do it despite the poll.

And aslo, even if they will add xgold exchange – its still not going to be same way as in a worlds where you can buy poses, clothes and other stuff for ingame currency, xgold does not have such a high value, luckily.

I do think it is a good thing. People on dance teams have to practice and commit their time. Why shouldn't they be compensated? Same for the best DJ's, hookers etc. The best will stand out and reep the rewards. It adds another dimension to the game.

And take out another dimension as well, ruining the atmosphere of equality that currently is in game.

This free getting good stuff is a pretty convenient solution for 80% of players. So I, who makes a quality room, keep it on TOP to create a good environment for visitors. To do that, I have to spend thousands of XGolds ...

No one forces you to keep your room on top. I logged right now to check - HAVASU FALLS on somewhere 30th position in a list and has 57 people inside. Because people love this room. Just an example.

Sure, my EGO wants the room on the TOP, but that’s not true. If a visitor sees people, he stays... if he sees the room in the top 20, he stays ... if he doesn't, he goes to the 2-bit rooms.

You don't need to push your room up with xgold to get in top 20. I mean you need, if you need it RIGHT NOW. But that's exactly your ego and your problem.

There are a lot of people who build beautiful rooms because they love to build, not for reward. There will be more of them without any kind of market. Same about services. If doing something is not fun enough for you on itself, without getting paid for – just don't do it. It's not your job.

Many people are competative. I'd be willing to hire the best dance teams over crappy ones any day. They would be expected to spam their friends lists to invite people, be flirty and entertaining, etc. After all, that's what I hired them to do. Otherwise it's no more than a bunch of avid running scripts.

And many people don't want competition here. There is enough of it in real life. This place is good to just relax and have fun, it works perfectly without adding more competition. There is enough of competitive games. There is enough of competitive adult games. Not every thing should be competitive.

On the other hand, by doing this, the ones who wanted to be dj or hooker just for fantasy and nothing else might not be able to cos everything will be taken by the "top" ones, no?

Why this way of thinking, that anything done should be rewarded, there wouldnt be anymore people helping homeless for free, and so on, cos hey they should be compensated. If what you do is a hobby there shouldnt be automatic compensation, if what you do is a job, then yes it should be paid.

When I played World of Warcraft as raid leader, spending 2 hours before and after raid to prepare the raid 40 and then calculate dkp and other stuff, who should get a loot or not, noone ever thought that this time should be compensated...why? cos it is a game, cos is was a choice not an obligation, cos it was a hobby.

If you give some help to someone, do you expect compensation?

I am not fighting with you, I just give my point of view. Bringing in some economy might not be as bad as I see it, or it might be worse than you see it lol. When they introduced Patreon, I was real worried and at the end nothing much happened. Might be the same with a new economy.

Here my answers:
I build and open my rooms, because i like it to do.... and its really frustrating to not get "pay" for it... i mean, not any reward from the people, maybe a "Thank you". BECAUSE SO NATURAL to get better quality than next room...
Build again and again, and only matters to stay on TOP and spend lots of xGold to be good for the people... i build the room, i build a huge attention, and i give many xGold for that! (specifically, I spent more than 10,000 ret now just for room maintenance)
So what do the casual player , who come in? What they do to be better this communitys? Work for it? Pay for it? Or just enjoy it?
Its time to reward jus ta little bit this huge free work... and this what i ask it, not huge things... deserv the builders, escorts, DJ-s and dance groups to!!!

While i can receive the argument that builders, djs, dance groups or hosts do some extra effort, I have really hard time to see it about escort ><  I mean it is a sex game and people come for sex, so I dont see what is the extra effort for an escort :x

You just a cheap guy... thats it... I wish you hundreds of thousands of gold, but you can't spend it ... because you simply regret the gold from those who actively use it.

I was there when Havasu ran up ... a beautiful room, there’s a lot of work in it ... but it ran up because people love it and THEY GET USED TO IT.  It took months to open in 0-24!

So enough of the bull-shit ... it’s not about competitive game, or that evil people are robbing XGold, and used badly people... the community isn’t collapsing from having someone’s more gold with lots of "work"...

Its so pity, meet many people who miser one, and prefer - “for free may come, others don't have to" - attitude.

But there is so many "real" escorts... who liek to play this RP game, but also "serve" people... liek builders, just use her own body! Really hard work to serv others fantasy... again and again.. isnt so easy, try out, and get it...

Well, building can be hard work, djing too, maybe escorting too yes you might be right. But still, noone force anyone to build, to dj or to play an escort. I assume if people do those things, it is because they like them, and any reward should be a bonus but not a must be.

Take, for example, my in-game friend ... a famous DJ, many people visit the rooms where he plays music. He puts a lot of energy into putting together his music and then performing it for the players! And you put not only energy, but real money into his work...
He’s called a lot for “free” DJs and loves to do it. But the more famous it is, the more places it is called and the less energy it has. BUT if he give up an invitation, HE WILL BE TRASH AND EVIL, and they will start to hate out, gossip about him, etc ... and this will get him really bad. If they paid him with XGold, he wouldn't try to call EVERYONE except those who want him serious ... he could spend xGold to maintain the room ... and it's a win-win situation.
People must learn to spend efforts to help each others.... not just enjoy other's work. And if you cannot add "work" to this... give xGold. Simple...

You are right... at first get a huge LOVE in it... and motivate to more work. But at some point, lose this focus, and people believe it so NATURAL to have your work... and blame you, if you not do all the time! XGold help not just in the "reward" .... thats a good tool to handle this unbalanced situation, and guide people to trully reward what get from the hard work.

Well, I think this is about people mindset here. Some people will feel they need a reward some won't. I dont think anyone is right or wrong. If he feels that being paid for djing makes it better for him, why not. But I am not sure it will make things better for him.

As per me, I will not spend one cent on a dj, an escort or a dance group. I will rather ask my friends if they want to organize something together, especially because spending money on a dj or a dance group is still not a guarantee of a succesful party.

Interesting topic :)

I think rewards has 2 types, tangible and intangible type. But motivations is powered by rewards that is undoubtedly just depends on what form of rewards means to the person (each individual perceive rewards differently, depends what's value to them). Some do extra effort to provide could be just based on passion, voluntary (the sense of achievement and accomplishment is a form of rewards), some people are driven by money/gold. And there is nothing wrong about it. Supply and demands its always there, but all drills down to personal moral acceptability. And again, not us to judge anyone, if you don't agree, just stay away from either supplying or demanding it.

No matter in what kind of transaction, payment is needed in all kind of acts. If it is not been paid with money/gold, then it can be paid by love/attraction or simply they like you. They do for you (lucky ones ;))

So when you want something great either you work for it or pay for it. That's what money for. Nowadays ppl buy likes too, obviously.

Just a personal thoughts.

We all come from different places and walks of life.  I like the fact that a subscription to the game is not very expensive (as compared to other games, hobbies, etc.), and that the subscription gives you all the features and functions as everyone else.  May this never change!  I am blessed to have a bit of money left in my pocket to spend on gold, to use for gifts to those that share in the enjoyment here with me.  Its a good way for those of us who can, be able to pay a little more.  This only helps the bottom line of 3DXChat, so they can continue improve this place.  Expanding ways for me to spend gold will benefit me, you, and everyone.

I completely agree with Jack.  I've tried other platforms where you pay monthly rent for your own home/property.  If I wanted to play a game where it took me 20 minutes to put together a pair of shoes I bought only to find out they do not fit and my toes show through the tips and the designer will not provide a return/exchange for correct size, I would be playing it now.

Your view is unrealistic.

Humans are competative by nature and it goes on everyday already here. The evidence alone supports this conclusion. Escorts collect gifts as payment and signs of status, builders try and create new and more attractive builds than others, dance teams want to be thought of as the best, and rooms are topped to be number one.

It's human nature.

I can understand and agree the simplicity of the way things are has certain advantages,  but I would counter Susan, and argue what you say you don't want is why 3DX only gets a few hundred on at one time on average after 8 years and the older worlds are in the thousands.

Variety is the spice of life.

The more people you have creating content the wider the variety. Good and bad. You will have ideas I don't and others ideas neither of us does.

Plus, the customizable clothing coming can be a game changer over the older worlds. We will see.

To add features (clothes, poses, etc.) and improvements (security, uptime, fixes) to the game takes real dollars.  It is why I think this idea of finding additional ways to utilize gold in game is so valid.  I will spend more real dollars for gold to use in game, as my choice.  I want the game and this community to continue to grow, and this 'simplicity' I would like to see stay central to it.

Many - women in particular, have fantasies about being paid escorts. For them, payment is part of the fantasy. It already goes on here crudely with the silly gifts.

I don't see much changing on that front other than gifts now becoming Xgold which has far more uses than silly gifts for services.

And tons of people just dance, chat, build for themselves and e-fuck, not trying to compete with everyone and just enjoying their stay. Just because competition is a part of human nature does not mean that everyone wants to compete all the time, no matter what they do. If you are so highly competitive that you need it all the time and in anything you do – it does not mean that everyone around is just like you.

well...what you think about all those rooms from?

yes, no one is force anyone to do those, but everyone just want to make the game better---for others, for the game, or for themselves. thy to think if we only have the current  official rooms, what a nightmare that will be

I'm not sure I'm following this line of reasoning.

How would any of that be effected by what we have been discussing?

Years ago they did actually have gold transfer, it lasted a day as some complained about prostitution. Like other things it wasn't given much of a chance as some of the people that complained had a lot of pull with Gizmo.

I don't think that making people competitive is in any way a decent argument for several reasons, one is people are already competitive in the game in many ways and another is if you don't want to compete in anything you are not forced to. So saying it can't be introduced because you don't want to compete is saying you won't give the opportunity to those who do want to.

There are so many positive things that gold transfers can add to the game, tipping for things like strippers, DJs and Dancers would be good to have.

One decent argument that has been presented in other threads on this is that if gold transfers were added then people will do things to accumulate gold and sell it for real money to others at a cheaper price than Gizmo. My opinion is that is the main issue that needs to be solved before it can be added.
