GPU usage

Why is this game so heavy on modern graphics cards? I remember playing this with my old 780 GTX and it used to run very hot. Now I have 2070 RTX and it's still the same. Playing 3DXChat is like running a benchmark! Not even modern games make my GPU run at 75C and this 10 year old game with relatively small environments is almost making my GPU to go it's knees...

the smoke are well done as well as a lot of things in this game. I understand why there will never be a real mirror reflecting our character in this game that will allow us to play longer without having the gpu that smoke "which would be a first the card will buy it before". I think that this game has such a bug that the card is working at full speed to limit damage

Game is badly optimized end of the story. use weird ass textures files and application, low res assets, really bad smoke effect, and not even a glimpse of a decent Screen Space Reflection. there's no physics what so ever, an awfull LOD, an awful IQ, no real time shadows (all prebaked) and to finish the picture the game use basic shaders (the exerimental shaders are bullshit).

Oh almost forgot the game as basicaly no fucking screen space geometry processing (basicaly every fucking game use this to not have to calculate what's not seen on the screen... but not 3Dx, it force the computation of shit you don't even have on the screen space.

So yeah i'll say it again the game is a freaking case of bad optimisation/developpement, it's the kind of mistake that you learn to avoid in any game dev school.

Sorry if the dev don't like my comment.

Though I agree with some points of @TerryScrew, this game is, despite it's flaws, still the best looking adult online world of all in my opinion.

not hard all the rest look like shit just need decend models to do something ok. but as a matter of fact if you put aside the online part there's lot of porn game that have way better 3D models

Considering the cost of my subscription that gives me full access to all of 3DX, the remarkable places being built for me to explore, and the amazing people I am meeting along my travels here?  I have hard time being too critical.  This is not a purely gaming platform, and I appreciate that.

You are free and welcome to voice your opinions but the original question had no association with the points you made. It was purely technical question.

As far as I understand the unity platform in this game is far from the latest version and somehow the game still eats up all the bit crunching capability of modern GPUs. If the game was badly optimized years ago when GPUs had ~2G of VRAM how come the game consumes the 8G of VRAM in modern graphic cards nowadays?

I assume the reason is because as there is no FPS limit the GPU is trying to run 3dx as fast as it can. You can set an FPS limit in 3dx or some grahics card have an FPS limiter inbuilt. I assumer having a GPU run at 99.9% for hours is not ideal.

General Beach is another problem for me. There - and ONLY there - the temperature of my mainboard rises from 33 to over 60 degrees within 2 minutes. A mainboard shouldn't get that hot. I haven't been able to go into the room there for months and can't find a solution. My settings, graphics and so on are all great.
