Babette
Thanks @ColinDude for the heads up. I can also confirm that 3DX now isn't being blocked / deleted anymore by Kaspersky... ColinDude
MariaP
Hey, just wanted to throw in some info that might help the Devs. At a glance, it looks like 3DXChat (the game & its website) might be suffering from an expired security certificate. All it does is tell the computer "this app/website has been certified to be legit", and if the cert is expired certain functions are prevented. Possibly related, just this past week there were changes made to Security Certificates. Starting September 1st, certificates that were issued before a certain date are automatically declared "invalid". This was done to force web developers to change certificates more frequently, to improve security. If the Devs weren't aware of this ahead of time and happened to be using a certificate that was declared "too old" by the date, this might be why certain AntiViruses/Firewalls are suddenly viewing the game/website as "Malicious" or "insecure". The fix is easy, it's just something the Devs or their IT have to deal with. The certificates in particular are used in establishing secure connections, so if they're "invalid" you might not be seeing images/resources because they're prevented from transmitting across your connection since it's "not secure". IRL I'm studying Cyber Security and I try to keep up with news and just pieced two-and-two together. Here's some articles if one would like to explore further. https://www.sigcorp.com/ssl-tls-certificate-expiration-changes-coming-september-1/ https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/technology/you-have-two-days-left-to-purchase-2-year-tls-ssl-certificates/ https://thehackernews.com/2020/09/ssl-tls-certificate-validity-398.html

Others reported the same problem with Windows Defender and ZoneAlarm Extreme Security. Also in this other thread, it seems the problem is ongoing today for some people (Kaspersky is not mentioned in this other thread).... Leopardus
@Gizmo are you sure there isn't a problem with the 3dxchat.com website? Xfinity security is also blocking it...
