Happy Birthday,  friend!  Not sure what all this vitriol is about.  It seems my absence here due to work and health was perfect timing.  Enjoy your day, your time on holiday, and in company that love and appreciate you!  You are you and the world is richer because of it!

A fable I’ve always liked is known as the Scorpion and the Frog in some nations.
The Fox and the Viper in others but the first is the more common one.

The fable has the Frog come across the Scorpion on the edge of a river.
The Scorpion wants to cross, but cannot swim.
So it asks and begs the Frog to help it cross, by carrying it on its back.
The frog says; “I don’t trust you, you will poison and kill me.”
The Scorpion replies; “I will not. You can trust me, I promise!”

This goes on for a bit, and eventually the Frog gives in.
It lets the Scorpion onto its back and starts to swim across.

Halfway the Scorpion stings the Frog, and with its dying breath it asks; “Why?! You killed us both! Why?!”
The Scorpion replies just before the water claims them both.

”It’s my nature...”

The moral of this fable, like most of the good ones is ambiguous.
One can argue that the Frog was being stupid for giving the Scorpion another chance.
The Scorpion killed itself by stinging the Frog, and then made the excuse of it being its nature.

The thing is, this situation is applicable to our lives too.
We all have people we know, that we try to give chances to, or who want something we can provide.
But deep down we just know they’ll just drag us down with them.

But like the Frog, we’re sometimes naive and give in.
But the Scorpions in our lives, keep stinging us.

It’s their nature.
As it is ours to be trusting.

We are who we are in this world.
And if we’re honest, to some we are the Frog.
But we’re the Scorpion to some too.
Everyone has their faults.
Things that are in their nature.

Just a thought.

Thanks. But you can’t see the video then?

That’s strange, it shows up for me.
Must be a forum derp. I’ll try to edit in some stills

Been a proud Frenchie Mom for almost a decade now.
My first Bulldog baby being Joy.
And my grumpy little Zion getting added a few years back after my other dogs sadly passed away.
Both my girls bring happiness into my life day after day.

And it added the pictures in the reverse order.
lol

Top pic is Zion, bottom one is Joy.

Heard a pretty funny yet meaningful saying yesterday.
One that I hadn’t heard before.

“In a stressful situation, be a Swan. Graceful, collected, serene above water. But paddling like crazy underwater.”

I think that’s a very good metaphor and applicable to a lot in life.
Reminds me of trying to be outwardly calm during an interview, while your mind goes into overdrive thinking of replies and double checking your statements.

It very relatable.

There’s few things in life that are as bittersweet as coming home from holiday.
Back to the familiar nest.
Distant shores as happy memories and mementos.
The tiny bits of sand stuck in creases and shoes giving fond memories of walks on the beach.
The sound of wind through the willow branches replacing the soothing crash of waves onto the shore.

I am home again.
Yet I can’t wait to go back someday.
Because ‘Home’ is where the heart is, and hearts can be large enough for the whole world.

Just a thought.

Guess who's back?
Didn't have much drive to talk for a while, to busy enjoying my vacation.
Still am doing that, to it's fullest.

Been getting some nice interactions in 3DX of late, but the old pattern still remains.
I seem to intimidate people.
Those that-do- poke me for a chat, are nine times out of ten very shy about it.
Or, but even rarer, are the ones that ooze self confidence and then slink away when I make fun of their 'Alpha' bullshit.

Not saying confidence is a bad thing, far from it.
But some seem to think that the only way to be 'Confident' is to put others down. Or beneath them.
I much rather like the ones that are confident enough that they don't -need- to put others down to feel good about themselves.

Just a thought.

well, none of you are alphas, its clear you all suffer from low self esteem. Its why you look for pretend love from people you dont actually know on a internet sex game instead of leaving your basement and meeting people in real life. no need to thank me, i wont even charge for this valuable bit of knowledge

Such a piece of knowledge, as you call it, is not worth a piece of a coin. Don't call it psychology. You have no idea what it is.

I’ll let my dog show you what I think about that statement.
I had the same expression myself.
Summed up as ‘wut’

First day back at work. No more staying on 3DX till morning.
I’m gonna miss that. And I reckon some are gonna miss me.
Staying up that late let me mingle with folks from time zones I generally never get to meet.
And much fun was had by all.
But alas, by the time they log on, I’m heading to work almost.
But boy it was fun while it lasted.

Might start posting a little more in here too, seeing as the boredom of work has returned.

Till next post.
Be safe out there.

Thank you @Derai

I`d like to take several screenshots of the last place that was opened when we met. When will it be opened again? I was so late last time.

The Digital D? I'm not sure when we'll use that one again.
But tell ya what, if you ever see me around again, give me a poke.
I'll load it in and invite ya into it, so you can get your screens. Deal?

Sometimes things really are to good to be true. Heh.

As I’ve said before, I’ve been playing at the Slutmoore RP room recently.

Leading to one of my most satisfying and adorably hot sexual encounters in 3DX in my recent memory.
But.... While I can still think back on it. In the context of my character it had to be erased.
Turns out the guy I had the steamy encounter with, ‘misunderstood’ his relationship with another character.
So basically he cheated on his IC (In Character) Girlfriend by fucking my avatar.
Leading to Out of Character (OOC) drama between himself and the player behind said Girlfriend.

What ground my goat about it the most though wasn’t the IC relationship drama or even the OOC decision to erase it.
No what annoyed me was that they never directly talked to me about it.
Directed everything via another friend of mine that had zero involvement or investment in the issue except ‘being Derai’s friend’

Oh well.
