Fun Fact:
 In Ancient Rome, Diana was the Goddess of the Hunt and the Wild World.
She was often represented in nature, surrounded by animals such as deer and dogs.

FUN FACTS:

Vesta was the only divinity whose temple was served in permanence by servants, the famous vestals. They were chosen between 6 to 10 years of age among the noble families of Rome and served for 30 years and had to remain virgin

Fun Fact:

The main purpose for the Vestals was to keep the Sacred Fire inside the Temple
If they failed to do so they could be flogged.
The penalty for losing their virginity was death.

Fun Fact:

There is a debate among historians whether Vesta herself was virgin. She was granted by Jupiter the gift of perpetual virginity, but at the same time was a representation of motherhood.

FUN FACT:
Ceres was always represented with blonde hair, the colour of wheat. She also often wore a crown made of wheat and carried a bundle of wheat, symbol of fertility.

FUN FACT:
Ceres's daughter Proserpina was picking up flowers when Pluto, God of the Underworld and Death, kidnapped her, intent on making her Queen of Hell. Ceres called upon the judgement of Jupiter, King of Gods.

FUN FACT:
Jupiter ruled that Proserpina should remain as Queen of Hell, but spend half the year with her mother Ceres, thereby giving birth to seasons. Ceres's joy when her daughter is with her brings back life to earth.

According to the mythology of ancient Rome, Juno was the consort, or wife and female counterpart, of the the chief god Jupiter;
she herself was the foremost among the goddesses and the principle goddess of the Roman State.
