  1. Hi to all! An idea came up that it would be helpful to add buttons to display rooms in the friends list. It would help to quickly find rooms open by friends. Perhaps you need a pictogram of the room/doors and color differentiation. Or just put the letters A, F, G - for all, for the group, for friends I'm attaching a schematic of how I see it ))
  2. Hello Gizmo, Lisa, hello 3dx developers I would find it helpful if we could create groups for the friends in our game friends list. A friend should be allowed to belong to several groups. It would be easier to send messages to a certain group, to invite them to a small private "party", or to simply open a room only for the members of a group. It would just help to keep our people together, such as Families, BDSM Players, Swingers, or Groups of other interrests Is this generally possible? What about the rest of the community, what do you think?
  3. Grouping items to make a single item is fine but when you want groups as separate objects, a pain in dee butt. Once you group numerous items and then later want to edit them you have to ungroup them. Unfortunately when you select the ungroup tool EVERYTHING gets ungrouped and now you have a zillion items to select to edit. Why aren't separate groupings remembered like in just about ever other 3D program. Editing this way is awfully inefficient. You should be able to make one set of objects a group, then another set of items a group. Group those two items. Then those should be two item groups (combined into one). Later when you select this combined group and ungroup it. It should be two different group items NOT a bunch of different separate objects!

    Involved or not?

Hello fellow 3DX'ers! I wanted to start a topic regarding a certain aspect of the game, in an attempt to get to know more about it. I'm hoping for some really great input on different people's opinions on the matter as well as try to exchange thoughts and ideas about it in a mature fashion. Hopefully, that'll work out. It starts here... We all know there are tons of different people playing this game. And we all have a tendency to try and put people in some kind of group. "Roleplayers or non-roleplayers", "Real or Fictional", "Mature or Childish", etc... Whether that tendency is a bad thing or not is not really the point of this topic, as I'll bring up two more categories, of which I would like to learn more about... the motives, the pros and cons, etc... One could say two more categories are "Emotionally invested or Emotionally disconnected". It's been something I've been wondering about for a long time... and although I've found my own answer to this, I'm still curious as to how people perceive themselves or others when it comes to these categories, as well as how they feel or think about the subject. Me... My own story on the matter, in short, comes down to me starting out as an emotionally invested player... I developed feelings, felt sorry, felt regret and/or wondered or worried about certain people (even outside the game). As time passed I slowly ended up lacking these things... in some way. Now I consider myself a more emotionally disconnected player although there are exceptions to it... But that would make a short story become a huge one. To me the pros and cons are semi-clear. I feel that being more disconnected resulted in a lot less drama... It allowed me to not get affected by certain actions one could take to get under my skin. On the other hand, it also makes it more difficult to connect to people on a social level. Although I consider myself "disconnected" (partially)... I can't help but feel things such as paranoia; "Is he/she someone that could end up causing issues?", "What is this person's agenda?", etc... It turns out to be kind of contradicting because I care and I don't care at the same time (weird?). I like to believe that the reason for me to turn more disconnected are situations caused either by myself or others that fed this paranoia... ultimately making me choose to not get involved with with certain people. A developed ability to read certain behaviours that would trigger alerts and cause me to step back from people is also something that I both consider a good and a bad thing... Bad because sometimes those "alerts" aren't always accurate and I end up stepping back from people that could have potentially been amazing friends. You... Now, not everyone develops this kind of choice due to events within the game... Some came here with that mindset already developed or chose it before starting out. But that doesn't make it any less valid. I'm curious about your reasoning, your perceived pros and cons and your stories... Are you willing to share them? I sure hope so Hoping for some awesome responses PS: If you don't feel like telling your story in a public setting but feel you'd like to share in some way... feel free to PM me on the forum
  5. Most ideas aren't exactly brand new but I'd like to address them again because I feel many might enjoy it and with the new ui, it could be easier implemented. I was thinking to one or perhaps more different layers onto the profile. Let's talk "Couple-profiles" for instance, how exactly the access would be orchestrated is something I couldn't say, perhaps even splitting the space for each partner to leave a few lines on but wouldn't it be nice being able to write something as token to your loved one or a few kinky lines if you're among the kinksters that live a swinger life to express your bond and share your interests (someone to enrich the experience, etc.) or pleasures ? Wedding photos, a little timeline ... I have to calm myself before the romantic inside of me takes over, whether you wish to share that with the whole world or just your loved one would naturally be up to your convenience as the previously discussed selection of privacy is definitely something I would see many of us support, also I could see this as a first step for the aeons ago suggested Couple rooms decorated and accessed by both parties. It is the very same principle for "Group profiles, we have a large popularity of Francophones, Germans, Vampire-circles, RP-Lover, Newcomers and through such a collective profile or club they could easily meet new friends and like-minded people. At least a means to make the Group feature somewhwat more attractive, perhaps with automatically joined channels that persist past the logout ? I realize the last part is a bit of a stretch and may require respective administrative handling and I wouldn't want such means cause people to ostracize each other, splintering into even smaller groups to keep for themselves and make the community grow even further apart, so this side of my ideas is to be taken with a grain of salt. On that very token I thought to the long suggested implementation of Room profiles which could find space in another layer, perhaps in the same spirit than the profiles are displayed, allowing for a few pictures to highlight and advertise your place, give it a little personal touch and history or simply date the next events. Last but not least I was wondering about the current development of "Offline Messages", whether yet another layer presented as some sort of "Message board" would suffice, I cannot say but I am quite confident that some of the thoughts could find appeal, a few maybe in the same spirit of unlocking the gallery to keep the dev team motivated. With the hopes that it will inspire and perhaps find someone with a smarter handle to realize a few of those ideas, i'll stop myself here since it already culminated into a very ambitious project which might really pull on the capacities of the server. Thanks for reading PS : I couldn't access a more suitable sub-forum to post and I feel it touches too many subjects for a simple dissection, so, sorry to the mods!
