Veterans are thanked for their services to the United States on Veteran's Day. Veterans Day shows respect for those who were willing to give their lives to the country and to serve their country. It shows that we appreciate the veterans. Veterans Day is important because it is a time to recognize and honor those that have served their country in the armed forces. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans, living or dead, who served their country honorably during war or peacetime.
