The Wigan Casino was a nightclub in Wigan, England. Operating between 1973 and 1981,[1] it became known as a primary venue for northern soul music Wigan Casino began its weekly soul-nighters in September 1973. [7] At that time, there were soul clubs in virtually every major city in central and northern England. [10] Wigan Casino had a much larger capacity than many competing clubs and promoted its events from 02:00 until 08:00. There was a regular list of DJs, including Russ Winstanley. In 1976, the club had a membership of 100 thousand people, and in 1978, was chosen the number one discotheque of the world by the American magazine Billboard. This was during the heyday of Studio 54 in New York. At the end of the 1970s, the club had its own label, Casino Classics. There were clubs that were far cooler than Wigan Casino. There were clubs more progressive in their evolution of new styles of ‘Northern Soul’. There were clubs for purists, for innovators, for collectors, but if what you really wanted was a club for dancers, then Wigan Casino was the place to go. Hello! The whole idea started when I noticed a lack of rooms for gay/bi players to find each other. I have decided to open a room where the LGBT community members can meet and make friends. Of course, it will always be open to everyone, but this is its main intended purpose. Thank you very much KatyaGKatt for building the most awesome room! I will open the room on June 17th, I would guess around noon GMT, but I plan on keeping it open as much as possible (aiming for 24/7, although it won't always be monitored). I have attached a few screenshots of the place. I will see you there to enjoy some EDM mixes together

Have had amazing, sexy, wonderful times here; and it's time I give something back to the community!
