  1. I think all of these ideas are great, and can be achieved if we look at the possibility of overhauling the avatar customization process as a whole. I would refer you to software that is being developed by MeshedVR called "Virt a Mate" For those of you that know what this is, you know where I'm going with this. For those of you that have no clue what I am talking about, I've uploaded images of some of the models I've created using Virt a Mate. Please keep in mind Virt a Mate is not a "game" but more of a 3d character creation tool that also has VR functionality and allows you to pose or animate however you like. In summary, Sliders for days for every intricate part of the human anatomy known as "Morphs". (A lot come pre built with VaM but there are a lot of user made ones as well that can be installed) Decal Layering(Makeup and tattoo options galore as well as other things) The ability to add your own skin textures Adjustable clothing that is also physics simulated Plugins that add near limitless functionality, such as key-framed animation and post processing effects for those that like to take screenshots of their creations Custom object assets (The ability to add your own favorite toys or an entire environment User made clothing assets as well as developer included assets that are fully, or near fully customizable, down to the length of a dress or how tightly it fits on your chest and also completely physics simulated This software uses the same Unity Engine as 3DX Also has VR capabilities with full body movement This I think would need to be a long term goal, but think of the possibilities!
  2. If you're familiar with Skyrim mods, or even Fallout mods, then you'll also know that yes, 3d modeling should be the way to go. However, the way that meshes are handled in most games, especially with layered 3d models, is that you get clipping. That is, unless the original plan was to account for 3d meshing to be layered under another 3d mesh. This can be done in various ways such as making the mesh transparent when clothing is applied. A lot of clipping is fixed this way, as it essentially removes any mesh that is being covered by the layer of mesh on top of it. Now take that frame of mind and think about all the separate creators that have made clothing for 3dx. Those clothing models do not account for physical nipple piercings, let alone any variants that might also be available. Now you have put on your favorite nipple piercing and put on your favorite shirt or dress. Now you notice that your piercings are now clipping through the outfit. The issue is something that can be fixed but the creators will have to go and make updates to the outfits they've made and re submit them to the devs.
  3. I personally like the idea of having a sense of responsibility when we start a topic. However, I also feel that instead of it being solely self moderation, there should still be a global forum moderator or more since 3dxforum has grown quite a bit. The forum members that start their own topics can (within reason) edit or delete posts inside their topic, I've seen other forums do it this way and it works relatively well. The Global moderator(s) could take care of the escalations, including but not limited to: repeated harassment from a forum member, any profile violations as according to the official Forum rules http://3dxforum.com/index.php?/topic/1425-3dxchat-community-rules/, thread cleanup when needed. Again, just my opinion. I think It would be a good idea.
  4. Are things coming full circle? hehe, get it?

  5. so, how about those parties?

  6. These builds really are quite amazing, and the amount of detail that goes into them is WOW! Great work THX keep it up
  7. Well, I really should have worded it better. When I say private parties, I mean that people can't ask DJ's to play a "certain exclusive playlist" for them, and DJ's cannot use the public server stream for their own private means, whether it is a wedding, a birthday, an orgy party. It's against terms of use. Or at least it was. Although I think Takisa just wants the music back the way it was before the alleged wedding that took place In love island.
  8. Sounds like I missed a good party! I'll have to make it to the next one
  9. As a former 3dx DJ, all the rooms are themed.. The theme for love island is... you guessed it, romantic music. If Milena is playing Russian pop music in love island without any context as to what the song is about then it maybe should not be played. Just my opinion. Let me also state that, previously any kind of public DJ was NOT to hold any private events in Public environments, such as weddings, parties, or festivals. If there was indeed a wedding there, that would explain the music, but it would (as far as I know) go against the terms of use for the public DJ servers. However, it is always possible that these rules have changed since 3dx took over the DJ scene.
  10. I want to thank everyone that has expressed their interest in FoS Spring 2018 by either participating or by just showing up and showing support for their favorite DJ, and the one thing that unites us all as human beings, which would be Music. The 26th, 27th AND 28th are all going to be fun filled, so if there is anyone who has not heard about our upcoming event, please let them know! Do them a favor, and invite them to spend the weekend with some of the 3DX community's most passionate DJ's.
  11. Its a never ending cycle Chloe. I won't have my group mates waging war against others. That's not what we stand for. That being said if the flame is re ignited, it better not be OC that did it.
  12. Asha I will put you on the list and ill have the group coordinators get back to you when schedules are being made
  13. Attention!!!!!! Attention!!!!!! Greetings all you wonderful people! It's me, Trena and I'm here today to bring news of the next Official Coalition Festival of Sound A.K.A Event 6. I have for you all, the days we will be holding FoS, and it's not too far off! However, first I would like to say thanks to everyone that made the last Event a major success. It's unfortunate that some of them aren't still around. Next, I want to see to it that this upcoming event is just as well off, if not even better! I would also encourage all fresh talent to get a hold of one of the coalition's wonderful coordinators so that you can sign up to rock, roll, rage, rave, and blow away the audience. You read it first and you read correctly! In the past events, we've had some new talent and a lot of familiar talent. This go around I encourage much more fresh talent to join in on the fun. Please do not be afraid to put yourself out there and make your interest known! Finally, the moment you have almost certainly been waiting for! The dates of FoS Spring 2018 are.......................... Friday 26th of January Saturday 27th of January Sunday 28th of January <-----------???????? (28th will happen if enough interest is generated and the first 2 days are filled) Stay in the know! Follow this topic for future updates leading up to the Festival

  15. Just wanted to take some time to thank everyone that showed up to this 3 day party and to all of the people that helped make it happen! MissMegan, Natsumi, Backfire, and all of the wonderful and truly out of this world DJs that participated and brought their A game to make this all happen. We broke the game because there were so many people partying with us! (just kidding it was just a server outage ) We also had the most occupied room for 3 days straight. I certainly can not wait until the next Festival of Sound, but luckily we don't have to wait to listen to our favorite DJs again. Check out all of the other Coalition Events happening this month.
