  1. Can @Gizmo or anyone else advise if it is worth it to continue building currently? Will the new updates have any significant impact on current projects? I'd hate to get deep into building something and then have the new update bodyslam all my work. Also, is it possible to get even a general time frame, just so we know when to expect things (i.e. 1 month, 3 months, 6 months). It's easier to be patient if we have some kind of time to work around. Thanks! - Laz
  2. I always just assumed I was speaking on a pair of earbuds paired to my smartwatch...it's the 21st century, for crissakes! So how about it...a pair of AirPods or generic earbuds would be a nice edition to the Accessories set. And please make all accessories (including those damn glowsticks) removable without having to go back to the editor, please! Thanks! -Laz
  3. Thank you, Gizmo for keeping us updated that you are in fact making changes. Regardless of anything else being said, more communication is always a net positive. Also, it looks like this forum is becoming a place for development suggestions. If there is a better place for us to make our requests, I'll use that, but since we are all here, the few things I would mention would be the following: 1) It would be nice for both male and female avi's to be able to select when a penis is either present, flaccid or erect. There are ultimately bigger discussions about how much support there should be for Futa or Transperson options for poses...I won't get into that here, but I think there are a lot of women here who might want to have FF poses that don't involve cock by default (some mentioned above), and men that don't want to end up in a situation where their female partner suddenly has a cock. No judgement against those that do, just a toggle for those who don't. And I would like not to become a sundial on the beach every time I take my swim trunks off and lay in the sand. 2) Speaking of poses in general, I'm using a high-resolution display, but also have crappy old man eyesight, and would love to see clearer icons for the poses so I can see in advance which ones are giving my female partner(s) a cock. That also goes for in game text in general, being able to display names as larger or smaller would be nice. 3) Consistent pose positioning would be nice too...have all poses facing 0 or North on your X axis so that you aren't flipping all over the place as you change positions. 4) Being able to adjust room lighting/time of day for all users "on-the-fly" without having to enter the editor to adjust and save would be cool too. Doing sunset viewing parties on the beach would be possible then. 5) An organized friend's list would be outstanding, and if it's not any kind of privacy violation, knowing the date or time of last logon, or active account status, could be really useful for clearing out those inactive members who haven't been around for ages. This is just a portion of the kind of stuff I'd like to see, but I'm sure there will be more. Thanks so much! -Laz
  4. Thanks...I did finally hear from her and she did my reset and I'm good to go. I'll have to spend some time rebuilding a few things but it's a good thing I have saves! Have fun everyone! Laz
  5. Hiyas...when did she respond to you? I made a request last night and haven't gotten any response yet. Did you have to provide any other info or take any other steps? Thanks! Laz
  6. Hi! Can you clarify that a bit please? Define "reset your character's looks". Is this going to trash the appearance of my current avi's? Thanks!
  7. Hey Doug, Check your screen resolution and the setting size for your UI. If the UI Scale is larger than 1.0, sometimes the confirmation pop up to delete a picture is placed off screen. Shrinking your UI back to 1.0 puts the pop up in reach and you'll be able to delete the pic. I run the game on a 5K monitor and need to boost the UI to see everything, and this problem drove me nuts for awhile. Hope that helps! - Laz
  8. I figured it out! I had my UI set to the largest size (2.0) because of my screen resolution. When you try to delete a photo or gift, the confirmation prompt disappears off screen. Once I set back to the default 1.0, I can see the yes/no prompt. How aggravating! Thanks to all for your suggestions! Laz
  9. Good advice, Leo...thanks! I also have an older machine I'm trying to see if it's something specific to the new box. Wish me luck!
  10. Well, I just don't know if it's only me or if my profiles are corrupted or something. I checked with another friend that was able to add and delete no problem. So maybe re-installing would help?
  11. I've reconnected multiple times and it never changes. Clicking on Delete does nothing. Clicking to buy a photo slot...nada. Argh...
  12. Hi all, Profile photos seem to be busted. Can upload new photos as normal but cannot delete once added. Also can't buy new photo slots for myself or purchase for someone else. Gifts are also not able to be deleted. Are there any ways to get around this? Is there a fix coming anytime soon? Thanks, Laz
  13. Thanks all...I tried sending a request via the support page a few weeks back and never got a response. I also never use Discord so I didn't really want to sign up for it just to send one message. Laz
  14. Hello to billing team; I thought I was upgrading my subscription to annual at the beginning of the year. It looks like my month-to-month subscription is still active and just got re-billed. They are both created under the same email. Do I still only have one user account, or did a second one (with new avi's) get created? If I cancel the monthly account, does it affect my current user account? Thanks! Lazlo
  15. Thanks Jen...I was mainly wondering if there were issues with running a second machine as far as network traffic or power draw. I have a second machine that I can use but didn't know if there would be other issues running it long term. The space is not going to be designed for huge crowds but the intention is to keep it running 24/7. I know people like Hinch run Havasu around the clock but this wouldn't be that complex, at least to start. If anyone else wants to chime in with good suggestions, they are appreciated! Laz
  16. Hi all, I'm wondering if there is a single source of good info on how to operate a room/space 24/7. What is involved as far as extra user accounts, having an extra system work as a small server, simple streaming, and any other issues. If there is not a single resource, but a bunch of other links or places to find this info, can we try to consolidate it all here? (Yes, I'm lazy and haven't looked in detail yet, which is why I want to make a one-stop spot for the info.) Thanks! Lazlo
  17. Hi all...I was having this issue months ago (before I took a significant amount of time off) and it's still around now. My rooms have been under 2MB in size (1500 -1800kb average) and I still have to try multiple times with multiple resaves to get the room to load. It usually takes saving the room after my changes, loading and selecting it again, and then trying again saving the room to a similar file name before it finally lets me load (long spinning time for the load). It also doesn't seem to happen on all of my rooms. Is it a file corrupted or something related to my profile? Is there a way to purge and start over without having to wipe out my entire ID? What are my options? Thanks, Laz
  18. Does that only apply to spheres, though? When it was working correctly, I could drop in a 1 meter square prim at 0,0,0 and have it divided equally a half meter positive and negative along each axis. Also, I thought the position of the object along your grid was independent of the gizmo view of Center or Pivot?
  19. Fine, maybe I'm suddenly nuts...I wouldn't put it past 2020 to turn me completely barking mad just for a lark...but is something busted in the coordinates system for the World Editor? I could have sworn that if I created an object and used the Transform Tool to declare exact position of X0, Y0, Z0, that the object's center would lay at the intersection of all three vertices. Suddenly, a new object created and dropped at 0,0,0 is NOT at dead center. If all of the Rotation fields are set to 0,0,0 the object will be split 50/50 above and below the Y axis, but X and Z are still out of alignment. The default rotation of X=270 rests the object on top of the grid. This is based on my grid Y height being set to 0, and my grid scale being set to 1 meter. In the example attached, all of my settings are at default except for ocean level, which I keep at 0 rather than the default -1. I prefer to start all of my projects from Zero Point, and will zero out any objects I get from share sites to make it easier to find them when building. It's also useful for building items that need exact proportions. Obviously, this isn't a deal killer for using the editor...it just means that now when building I have to do math...and I HATE math... So am I the only one seeing this, or this there some other strange voodoo going on? Please share your thoughts... Thanks! Lazlo
  20. This has been a consistent problem for me over the last few days, pre- and post-patch 423. Sometimes saving to a new file does it, other times, I'm caught in a loop and can't seem to get out of my current build. I wish I knew if there was a consistent fix that allows me to view my changes after saving, but I can't tell. Anyone else with any ideas, please chime in. Frustratedly yours, Lazlo
  21. Sorry kids...no joy yet. Connection lasts for a moment only then drops again. I would go ahead and bypass all of the "The Devs suck/No they don't" drama here and just go take a break for awhile. I'mma go watch the trailer for Denis Villaneuve's DUNE again...god DAMN it looks good! Cheers, Laz
  22. Dammit...I guess my sarcasm projectors failed again... /me sighs Back to the workshop...
  23. I don't recall that being the original intention of having alts when I started playing in The Long Ago...but the devs were just as mysterious about their intentions then as they are now, so who knows...I haven't created a new account in years...do people still get more than 1 avi to start? I heard something about it costing 10k to make one. I'll tell you what boils my boxers...those lying sacks of shit that play demons THAT AREN'T ACTUALLY REAL FUCKING DEMONS! I mean, if I'm gonna surrender my God-granted grace to an unholy, soul sucking she-creature, draining my essence in an orgy of maddening lust and damning me to eternal servitude in Hell, there BETTER be a real fucking Demon on the other side of the screen! Not some overweight moron in his Mom's basement chugging Red Bulls and covered in Cheetos dust...Succubus?!? More like SUCKS-ubus! Amiright? I mean, seriously... This rant brought to you by The Internet..."The Internet, showcasing the worst of Humanity since 5 minutes ago..." Laz
  24. Per the rules that were dropped at the beginning of all this, the only advertising that can be done for donations was within Local in that specific room. I think it was already said that Gizmo and company are just facilitating donations for hosts, but not taking any kind of cut. Sure, kind of a bizarre biz move from their standpoint, but if they're doing it to build goodwill after all of the assorted server crap, I'll take that olive branch...
  25. Actually, I do know...I built old-school in this place with the original editor and the original props and prims when you had to find creative ways to bend the limited stuff that we had into words or other cool stuff. We also basically had two tiny apartments and one matchbox sized balcony to build entire clubs on...you could fit 20 original Blue Notes into one of the aircraft hanger sized clubs that you see nowadays. (See attached.) When my place got nuked in one of the later updates, my real life had changed where I didn't have the time to devote to rebuilding an original place from the ground up, and if I had, I would have started to make use of props and cool ideas built by others to save time and energy and create a cool space anyway, and I would have personally thanked every single creator that was a part of my room. Because that's the thing I don't think YOU grasp, Allie...a good room is WAY more than the sum of it's parts...talk to other old schoolers around here like Adara, xCandy and Dee, Xanar, StelioKontos, Lynibree and Lunastella (there are many others out there who know)...they came to my place and loved it because it was a well run, calm chill spot that had a nice laid back FEELING built into it. Yes, I have not run that place in a LONG time, to my regret, and we never got the numbers that people shoot for now. But I had clients that were fucking LOYAL, and I earned that by the quality of the space, not the source of the build. You have the time to build from the ground up. I hope you appreciate your blessings. You like the challenge and get your reward from pushing and growing your skills. That's awesome. I would love to have both of those luxuries, and I currently don't. I HAVE built original objects, that are going into some projects that I hope to release soon. (And yes, I CAN build a fucking doorknob...my point was taking cool design elements from others and incorporating or drawing inspiration from them like any other real designer can and should.) At the end of the day, my whole argument has been let those of us who use shared stuff in good ways do our thing, and those who want to get any kind of support for what they've done, for whatever reason, not be vilified for it. Because if you feel that your way of doing things is the only pure and noble calling, and anybody else working for any other purpose than raw original creation is somehow less, or invalid, there is a word for that. It's called ARROGANCE. And THAT's fucking greeeeaaasy.... Laz 3DXChat_2016-06-27_21-29-06-28.bmp 3DXChat_2016-06-27_21-31-03-48.bmp 3DXChat_2016-06-27_21-33-04-38.bmp
