Ok...I've been in this place for almost exactly over 5 years now. WTF?!?

So, you may or may not have known who I was before. I was a mostly gentlemanly old Blues club owner and unapologetic dirty old man who liked to roam around and explore this amazing and sometimes frustrating place, in all of its light and dark. Some people were great, others awful, but every experience here has been worth it. It's brought me where I am now.

The rest of the world, of course, has continued to slide into the great cosmic toilet, at least the parts of it that I see. So, I made a choice to treat this place as nothing more than an escape, getting what I needed and not really giving anything back, as a way to try and scrub all the rest of that outside nastiness away.

Until I met her.

A lovely young lady who sees all the possibilities, and plays them with a beautiful sincerity that I have missed in all my time here. A sweet humility, and a wicked sense of humor. I'm too old and jaded to have any lofty expectations of long term happiness, but I do know that I'm going to make the most of this opportunity. I don't know where we'll end up, but I'm going to enjoy this ride!

So know, think of me as a new and different man, who has suddenly been handed a staggeringly vast treasure. I want to use the power and possibility of this place, to inspire others, create some real moments, and maybe have an assload of fun in the process. My old club was a safe haven, and a chill place that made a lot of people feel good. But I'm not in that business anymore, and I think that this world should instead be used as a way to influence our other worlds. And truly make them better.

My lovely partner and I will invite you all to join us. I am approaching this world as someone who has all of the resources required to do good. I will reject intolerance, hate, discrimination in any form, and those who don't bring 1000% honesty and respect to all their interactions.

And I may actually be Batman. I'm not sure about that yet.

(You can talk to me in cross-world terms within the Forums if needed, but for the foreseeable future, consider me a deep RP character. In game, my lady and I are very much inhabiting our roles.)

UPDATE: 8/2/2020

So, after more than a month of silence, I can only conclude that my dear partner and new cherished friend has disappeared en route to her home away from here. Because of the nature of our relationship, I will probably never know the truth. But I choose to assume the best, and know that she is out there, and may someday return to my side. And if circumstances prevent us from ever being together again and returning to the grand adventures we started, then I wish her well and send her my love and gratitude for the brief time we did get to share.

In the meantime, my other dream remains...to make the most of my time and resources to bring joy to everyone that I can. Thanks to a handful of trusted and able assistants, in whom I have the pinnacle of confidence, I work closer to that goal every day. I hope to bring as many people as I can to that vision, and hope that it will serve to make this world, and any others that we can touch, better in every way.

(The full RP aspects of my story are still in play...I am more likely to reference the wider world as appropriate, but I will continue to treat this place as solid and real as possible. Within reason, obviously...but the story is too good to give up right now...)
