When Gizmo put in the patch that stripped off my skin color, he, Lisa and Ash were all telling us in chat the reason for it was people decorating their rooms in extreme ways, specifically Pier's White Palace house that had beds and couches floating in space. Mich: The week before they pulled the plug on room invitation spam, we were getting so many during peak hours that some people could literally not read their chat window. The stupid invite icons would cover the lower half of the screen. It was awful.

Everything in this game caters to heterosexual male fantasy and always has, there are tons of threads from LGBT pleading for pretty much anything.

I have played MMORPGs online since 1999 (I started with Ultima Online). I have met dozens of people from online over those years. I have known dozens of couples who met because of playing together online. My own experiences with online love turning to real life love though are not positive experiences. In my case, I found myself in love with people who never existed, I don't mean that I was 'cat fished' or anything like that. What I mean is, that the people I had been talking to online had tried their best to describe themselves, had written as well as they could to describe who and what they were about. Tried to lay bare their soul... But... There are just some things people can't truly be honest with themselves about enough to include in their written descriptions. I know that I was guilty of this as well. We see ourselves differently than others see us, so it is just not possible to accurately write our own bio. What I mean by that.... People have faults that they don't consider faults but others would see as major issues. Maybe you are a slob, you stink, you are lazy, you are gross (picking your nose, farting, socially awkward type things), you are loud, you hyper sensitive, you a total fucking shit bag psycho (one of my own experiences).... But! I do know that other people get lucky! Just as with any other kind of relationships, sometimes two people that can work (people that are living together compatible as well as sexually, romantically, etc) because of luck do find each other this way. It just hasn't happened for me so i am jaded and bitter about it. Which is why! I just at some point decided to stop meeting people from online anymore. Screw that.

I had Eukro the female character, Rouke the male character (see what I did there.) And I used the 3rd alt slot that I used to make one off characters to sneak around checking out who my partners were hooking up with when they thought I was offline.

The last time the devs added dances there were complaints too, only some power mad user given the ability to "moderate" discussions didn't lock the threads.

A lot of people like to idle in the night club, is it any wonder they just figured everyone was waiting on a second night club? It's funny because this is in no way true. If you play a male avatar with nothing written in your bio, no one will ever question or ask for your real life gender. If you play a male character and say you are a male irl in your bio no one will pester you for proof. If you say you are a female irl in your profile on your male character, you will constantly be asked for proof showing you are in fact a female irl and the level of proof will always be questioned. If you play a female character with nothing written in your bio you will constantly be asked to prove you are a female irl. If you play a female character and write in your bio that you are male, no one will ever ask you to prove it. If you play a female character and write in your bio that you are female irl, you will constantly be asked to prove you are a female irl and the level of proof will always be questioned. The ONLY time someone will ever question you as a player is when you say you are in any way female. Either by the character you choose, or by what you write in a bio.

Global account handles is how this is solved in other games. Example Character1@GlobalAccountHandle, Character2@GlobalAccountHandle, Character3@GlobalAccountHandle most games that have these also allow role players to play without them shown. So if Twiggy for instance wanted to see who was the player they would see Character1@GlobalAccountHandle. If ExHaran wanted to just see characters, they would see it as Character1 Global account handles also allow people to use the same names so you don't have to have LeroyJenkins69 LeroyJenkins1124 LerooooyJenkins all running around, you could have a bunch of Leroy Jenkins@GlobalAccountHandle since the global account handles are different.

The player I ran into was known to have at least 12 characters too, and I only ignored three of the person's accounts.

I am happy to hear you have never had to deal with real harassment here in this game, ExHaran, but let me tell you about an experience I had here. I was talking with some friends one night and got a private message from a person that had read my character's bio. Like you, I am an avid role player. I don't play video games to play at real life relationships. But the person who read my profile decided that I was in fact looking for just that. A simple flirtatious conversation slowly got creepier and creepier with the player asking more and more real life relationship type questions. I brushed the person off and stopped responding to their character. About an hour later, a different character strikes up a conversation with me, I reply back, things seem pretty normal, fairly normal conversation and then the player starts talking about how I started ignoring them on their other character, how I ran away from the room I had been in and was probably a homosexual man trying to trick lesbians into having cyber sex with them. Which.. I mean, wtf? Right? There are so many things wrong with that thought it's not even worth responding to... So, I put the player on ignore. Problem solved right? A few minutes after I ignored the player, someone says to me, look in world chat. I click the tab and a different player is now bad mouthing me in world chat referencing things said in my private chats with the ignored player, see, the player logged on to a different account to continue the harassment. Oh course, I reported it. Automatically ignoring the player's second account. A few of my friends jumped to my defense in world, and I thought problem solved. A few minutes later another character comes up to me in a publicly open private room, starts up a very familiar conversation in private messages, almost exactly like the first player, but I don't freak out, I figure it can't really be the same person... And then, the crazy comes out, the person goes on and on about how I am a homosexual male trying to trick lesbians into having cyber sex... Again, I mean, wtf? Same person, on a third account harassing me. So I ignore again. I spent the next week, I'd say being harassed by the person, they would follow me any time I logged on and send private messages to people I was near to warning them that I was a sexual predator. I finally lost the person's interest and they went after another player here. I know quite a few people, most of them fellow role players who have run ins with this person who still posts here on different accounts. I can tell you for a fact, in the ignore by character system you are so hot for, this person and people like them will not stop logging in characters to harass people. They get off on exploiting loop holes like this.

The amount of misinformation in this thread is scary.

Here is my problem with this.... The kind of player that ends up on a person's block list is almost always the kind of player that will simply switch to a different character to continue to harass you. Now that person is going to get a fresh start harassing you each time you block a character.

Female characters in this game unfortunately can't have realistic sized/proportioned bodies. Which is a shame. They can have slightly curvy stripper bodies at best.

Even when you do put your "true gender" or that you want no part of any kind of real life interaction in your profile, expect to be grilled on your real life details you probably won't feel comfortable giving out because certain people simply will not respect your privacy. what only matters is how you want to play and what you want to share with people you want to play with. There are plenty of people to play with who won't demand you prove who you are and ruin fantasy play.

In the game I primarily play, you have the option of seeing people's names one of two ways... With their global account handle, or without. Example: Eukro Gamun vs Eukro Gamun@eukro Role players can choose to not see people's global name if they want to that way. However, people who don't want to date any character played by @eukro, can see what alts I am playing without having to ignore me completely. Which is great for those players you are ok talking to, but just don't really have any desire to get involved with. This means that you can opt into not knowing who is playing other characters while protecting those who still want to know which player is driving other characters. I am an avid role player myself, and I play vastly different kinds of characters, but I feel like this system is just better for everyone.

It was promised to us over 6 months ago, guess that makes them liars. Shocker.

Ah well, sorry. I haven't tried any other "sex" games, my experiences come from MMORPGs. All of which have communities of people who engage in relationship/erotic role play.
