Glider soaring - an interest of mine. Video is not by me and i'm not the pilot. "How about that! - no engine!"

The Variometer, near phone, plus its audible tone, shows lift or sink of glider in Ft/Minute,
caused by the air flowing up and over the mountain. When lift is max, it does feel like you'rein an elevator.
The black yarn on the windscreen shows that the glider is heading straight into its airflow, for max efficiency
and longest unpowered flight time. The pilot occasionally adjusts the curvature of the wing cross-section,
sing the lever on the left,to achieve the best balance between speed and lift. Notice that the lack of an engine
does not make for noiseless flight. At 50 to 80 mph airspeed, the wind noise is substantial. Also notice that
he pilot must get very close to the terrain for max lift. Thanks for Viewing!
