  1. I agree with what Leopardus says. The only thing I would add is that you should be aware that "shemale" is a derogatory term and that, in theory, at least, it is preferable to use a more correct term to describe your gender identity and their operative phrase is "for those that read profiles at least."
  2. Just repeating posts without comment, I find strange. Whether things are difficult to do or not is highly subjective. Development of anything, objects, clothing, poses etc. may be difficult in varying degrees for anyone and the same goes for the implementation of an end user interface. There are many things, for example, that I don't like about the world editor and, judging by the low number of end users who actually use it, as opposed to having others do the work for them, that applies to most end users. However, there are some fabulous rooms out there and the best that I have seen so far is by an end user who, because of her bias, probably wouldn't be interested in developing (sex) poses. Having developed objects, clothing and poses in other environments my experience has been that I find it is far easier to develop clothing, given the appropriate interface, than anything else. I am sure that others will disagree because, as I implied, the difficulty level of the various types of design is subjective as is the end user interface. So, what we have is a user base with varying degrees of competency and a dev team with... who knows? Varying degrees of competency? Varying degrees of time? Varying degrees of initiative? Varying degrees of willingness to bother to do anything? I faced it years ago that whatever suggestions are made here, no matter how well you explain yourself or even how many people are interested, the chances of it being implemented are slim at best. Having said that, perhaps just repeating posts without comment might work
  3. Xizi said... "And what about people who don't play 3dxchat for years?" I don't understand your point sweety. Oh.. and thanks, Twiggy, for posting his comments. I have them hidden and that confirms why
  4. Garance said... "...even in xgold. Seriously can someone explain me why it'd be better to pay instead of having everything for free?" You're paying the highest subscription of any game. You're not getting anything for free... except Xgold and, if you log on every day, you're getting 300 per day. Look at my pic above. I've got over 270000 and getting 300 per day (and, I have just come back from a 15 month sabbatical). If you're paying in Xgold (unless you are silly enough to actually buy some) you won't be paying, in real currency, any more than your subscription.
  5. Rockster, believe me I save I just saved to the wrong room. If the file name that I had last loaded was displayed at the top, next to "File" that would probably have been avoided. ...and what is this with the Explorer like box that comes up somewhere else, other than overlaying the game window and, when finished, doesn't return you to the game window?
  6. OK, having just lost my room... can we have the last loaded world (file)name posted at the top, next to "File"? Can we please have the ability to bake patterns on, so they don't move when the object does? (or, rather, they do move with the object as they were applied) Can we please have the ability to scale patterns? Can we please have the ability to remove a pattern from a primitive, as opposed to just changing it?
  7. If you're dealing in Xgold, I think you're overstating the problems Maxx. There are thousands of micro economies working fine all over the internet but, anyway, the mechanism for taking Xgold from users and paying users Xgold already exists here. A catalogue system already exists for the clothing and other items, that are already available, in the character editor. The only problem is the manpower required for accepting and vetting the items and maintaining the catalogue... but then, manpower has always been the problem with 3dxchat
  8. I know Jessica, I posted this a couple of years ago. It should be even easier now with the world editor.
  9. Now, I'm back I've started building. After spending some time in the garden, I decided to go in and do some artwork for the walls. It can only get better By the way, has anyone developed a font? It took me an age to do the cryptic lettering.
  10. Agree with most Deeborah but not no. 4. /me is standard across games for emotes (and, personally, I would rather see it italicized here rather than colored) and gets abused here enough. We used to have color and size in chat e.g. <Color=xxx> and <Size=xx> and they were probably removed because of the abuse.
  11. Oh, that resolved my problem. Pity it hasn't been fixed in a year though (unless, of course, there is a good reason for not being able to do it). An error message would be nice though
  12. Back again after a long break (surprised to see I still existed). A couple of things I would like to see and I'm sorry, if they have been raised before... I often have problems seeing someone in a crowded room who may have contacted me so I would like a Zoom in option on their right-click menu. It will take the view to a short distance from their body front. F6 returns you to normal view. It is obviously restricted to the location that you are in. The other thing, now that we are able to build, is to be able to swim in any water (or provide ocean water for building ?) so that we can swim in our pool. I've added "Fly"on the menu too but that isn't really a strong requirement and could be restricted depending on location.
  13. Have you tried starting a new account? Even just to see whether that works ok?
  14. I don't do 3DXChat any more, even SL is difficult as I have such a hectic RL but I do take a peek at the forum from time to time and am glad I spotted this. Congratulations to the two of you, I am sure you will have a great day... and... it is almost worth rejoining so I can be there
  15. F*k Bialaeticat, if I wasn't so immersed in SL, your diner would certainly bring me back. I have obviously missed a lot since they introduced the build environment. It looks fabulous
  16. I didn't realise that postimg.org was now postimg.cc so none of my cartoon strips were showing. Hopefully, those who haven't seen them before can now that I have changed the links.
  17. alisonn said... It is people like you that are the problem with the game (any game). That don't play it as it was designed. Then when things go wrong with your life (oh, it actually wasn't your life, it was a piece of fiction about someone else) you blame the game. You can't understand why people don't fawn over you and share your opinions about what is only a game and you call them names and "judge them at random." If you had bothered to read what I have posted you would a) know that I sympathized with you and b ) that I could possibly empathize with you as someone like the person in your story, who couldn't understand that it was only a game, fucked up my life, but I have got over it. Who cares whether you reply or not. I really don't want to wade through shit grammar, punctuation and spelling anyway.
  18. alisonn said... Perhaps you didn't understand my post. You can research the meaning of the words "sympathy" and "empathy" if you like. Many people do use the latter erroneously. I'll repeat, rephrasing it and I hope it helps you understand... We can all offer sympathy but offering empathy implies that you have been through the same or similar circumstance. MeiLing (whom I have a lot of respect for) said "Btw, a lack of empathy cripples you here and in real life." Perhaps she meant "sympathy." I won't put words in her mouth. A lack of empathy only means that you are not capable of expressing it due to not having been in the same or similar situation. Before you criticize people try and understand what they are actually saying.
  19. alisonn said... Even the forum, which is almost totally divorced from the game itself, as far as number and type of persons is concerned, doesn't reflect what you say. ahhh... and my responses get dismissed by some, despite it having happened to me, just because I approach life in a different way. MeiLing said... That's a bit over the top. Sympathy is something anyone can have. Empathy has to be earned so, unless you have experienced something similar, you can only have a lack of empathy. I rarely talk about it but game addiction (Everquest) and the consequences have affected my life significantly but I still maintain that it is just a game.
  20. Put as much of your interpretation into my mouth as you like, Athene. You will never get it right. Oh... and I never wish ill on anyone, that is just nasty. Oh yes, I forgot, it's the sort of thing that some people do that makes this game disturbing to others.
  21. "It is a question of how each individual approaches the game." Oh, so it is just a game. The problem is not that it is just a game but "how each individual approaches the game." People get obsessed with things like Rubik's Cube, Sudoku, Chess, etc. and they get frustrated and they fight and they break things and they turn to drink and drugs and they lose jobs and friends and partners, etc. but they are still just games. 3DXChat is just a game. If there is any problem it is "how each individual approaches the game." And, if you are approaching the game in a way that manifests problems for yourself, then "repetition of the 'it's only a game' mantra" can help
