Ahh yes MeiLing. I think the whole windowing/popups etc. needs an overhaul because of a) the clutter and b ) that some close/are replaced when others open. I think that it is probably low on their priority list (if they have one ) though.

I started in Achat in 2012 as Concerto. I was very forum active there. In 2014 I moved here, when friends from Achat told me about it. Concerto was taken so I became Cordelia. I had done clothing development in Achat and was disappointed that I couldn't do it here but I got involved in the forum and ran my "InT'Sex" cartoon strip here for a long while. I was a heavy game user, very active. I also tried a couple of other environments but preferred it here. Later Achat introduced pose development as well and I jumped back for a bit, while still playing here, but I decided to move to Second Life in January 2016, as it offered more opportunities for development, again while continuing here in parallel. At the end of 2017, around the time WE was introduced, I stopped subscribing here and concentrated on SL but, having continued to follow the forum here and seeing the great building works that people had accomplished, I took advantage of a Xmas special and rejoined 3DXChat at the end of 2018. I still have several friends here, some from my original time at Achat, and have had several of my SL friends join here too. I've always managed to avoid drama or, rather, it seems to have avoided me, but I must admit that the environment seems very unusual here nowadays. Recently, a "friend" who I had known and supported for a long time told me to leave their room because I was wearing the pink cancer support logo on my t-shirt, which kind of symbolizes how I feel about the game generally (being told to leave, not the cancer logo ).

MeiLing... although I basically agree with what you say... as far as "now some want a micro economy: what for?" is concerned, there already is a micro-economy. They give me 300 xgold every day I log in. Having said that though, I may never post another pic, I will probably never get married and, now, the beer is free, so I may never get to spend the almost 300000 xgold that I have. It would be nice to use it on something (else). Oh, the other thing is that your discussion of other games is highly subjective and people can criticize SL all they like but my life there, with an annual subscription, not only costs less to play but allows me to have all I want for free or, cumulatively, less than the annual sub here. With a payback of $300L each week, I can buy, if I needed them, for example, 6 of the FLF items at http://seraphimsl.com/2019/02/22/tgif-thank-goodness-its-fifty-linden-fridays/ this week and that same website has lists with a whole host of other cheap offers. Plus people say everything is free here. I can guarantee that in SL there are 100 times more than the number of free items here. Also, if you are even only a minimalist rp'er, like me, the slightly less glamorous graphics are not worth worrying about. A few words are worth more than a slightly more pretty image. Also, I can almost guarantee that anything that anyone asks for in this forum is available already in SL. Just one example... one of the things I want is pictures on the wall. I have done that here by spending time with WE and ending up with solely abstracts. In SL I can upload any image I want and stick it on the wall.

Well, I agree with you Wizard but I guess it is because it is essentially a phone app. After others suggested that no one can see the number or are able to contact you via the number, I succumbed and, so far, they are right

Doc, slapping is in the next update, apparently (well, according to Telegram, anyway).

Obviously they only came up with enough money to pay to resolve some of the issues. Not enough for the forum, unfortunately. It is still sluggish.

I don't know if it is related at all (possibly not, but just as annoying) but twice recently I have been in a room that closed and, on selecting to go to my room, it has gone into limbo and I can't do anything other than Alt-F4 out of the game.

It may be all that we can do, Aliviax, but the devs can spend a few seconds to explain to us what the problem is (or, at least, apologize).

There are two other threads about problems with the handling of world files. I have had several strange occurrences, including attempting to load a saved room several times before it actually loads.

Well Susan, I have the problem with YouTube stuttering and my graphics program stalling but the problem in the op isn't related (I think). Several times I have, in theory, loaded a world file only to find that it hasn't actually loaded and I am still in the old room. After third or fourth attempt it seems to work.

There are so many additional details/functions that I would like to see in the World Editor. I have already suggested Options for Bake/Scale of patterns and specifying the file name that you last loaded but a critical thing to know (when you're working with 2D, let alone 3D) is the dimensions of the object you are working with (dynamically changing as you scale it) and its world coordinates. They could be added to the top line, there is plenty of space (if you shift everything over, lol!)... Update... oops no one told me about the XYZ icon on the top row, perhaps someone should update the damn documentation (ok, perhaps I should try these things out before posting ).

I don't know about either bit but, if you mean the second bit, there must be 1000 similar apps. They probably use it as an exercise in how to create such an app in "Programming 101." Why I don't understand using it is that this forum is a perfectly reasonable way of the devs communicating with the users and it takes no longer for them to type in here and post images than it does in any other app. If you meant the first bit, it's working for me

Now I'm back here, I should really start my cartoon strip again but I've got the building bug. I'm sure there are lots of things I can do to tidy it up but this is my first complex build, my PACGAL arcade game... I tried to put in a lot of detail, which presents its own problems, with the layers that are generated, but I think it looks pretty good... Can we please have a walk option (as well as run) with F6, when building? Also, can we please have an option to use poses (with F6?) when in building mode, instead of having to exit build, try the pose and then return to build?
